Shoe.
I have been away the last few days and after all the busy work am happy to kick off my shoes and relax. A few weeks ago my friend Sherrie Siemens made some cards using her new Graphic 45 paper. The funny thing is she used the same images I was going to use with my Graphic 45 paper too. So without further adieu, here is my take....

Thanks with appreciation.
Last night I had the pleasure of stamping with some wonderful ladies! I met my friend Su when I first started my Stampers 10 stamping group. She attended my monthly workshop and soon her stamp collection started to grow *lol* A few months back Su so me stamping on fabric and as a quilter she asked if I would be willing to teach the ladies how to stamp on fabric. Let's just say we had a lot of fun and they got really creative. Su made sure to nudge me and tell me she expected that I make a card out of my image so guess what? I did.

Congrats, a card and I'm back!
I have a few more reports to go yet but I did find some time yesterday to put together a few things including my upcoming Jiffy girls monthly card.
I was so delighted to read all of your wonderful spring comments. I am longing for more spring like days--especially those that are warm. The kids and I managed to get out for a few walks and a bike ride in the past few days but we had to plan them around the breaks from the pouring rain/hail/slush. Anyways, you truly brightened my day with thoughts of "newness". I love green buds, flowers and green grass. I adore the smell of freshly cut grass. And of course who doesn't like the sun and the warmth?
The winner of the spring package giveaway drawn by random generator is: #101
On to today's card. This is a card I put together some time ago and then lost. I found it the other day as I was cleaning out my supplies, boxes and cards. I am not sure about your circle of friends but it seems that many of my friends are expecting again...some expecting their 3 and 4th child even. So the reality is I really need to get cracking on making more baby cards again!
To achieve the embossed square look please refer to THIS tutorial.
Supplies

Cardstock: Kraft by PTI, Dark Chocolate by PTI
Patterned Paper: Crate Paper
Ink: True black by PTI
Accents: Brads by MM
Tool: Copic Markers, Nestabilities by Spellbinders

Remember me??--Blog Candy Giveaway
Well, I am getting there but have to say I still have lots of work ahead of me. I have had some people asking why I am writing report cards now. I work for an online school and reporting is a little different than the public school system. Essentially, I receive a portfolio of the student's work at the end of the term and that combined with their weekly reports and our phone calls comes together as a report card. I am very thorough in my details *lol* and like to make recommendations which turn into lengthy e-mails. That is why it takes me so long. Today for instance I spent 14 hours completing 2.5 report cards. Eeep.
So I am sure you thought I had forgotten about blogging and my blog candy giveaway. Well after long days on the computer typing I truly have not had the energy to do much more. I have pulled it together tonight to share a little SPRING with you in the form of blog candy.
In order to win these goodies, leave me a note and tell me what you love most about Spring.
Here are the goodies: Prima flowers, stitched ribbon, Spring Moss ink by PTI, some yummy spring patterned papers, some die cuts, a stencil and this cute baby chick.
Have a super day. I have a card to share this weekend so I will post it on Sunday along with the winner of this blog candy and then I promise to be back to my regular scheduled posts. I had hoped to be further along but I had a complex report card that took a little longer than I had hoped.

Hey everyone! I am working diligently on my report cards over the next few days. I plan to have some blog candy available and will be posting a photo of it in the next 24 hours (have to take a photo of it) but will be back on Friday with my regularly scheduled posts :) Thanks for your understanding--I already miss my crafting but will feel so much better when I am caught up with my work.

Celebrate Christmas???
I know that Christmas is FAR off and I am sure you probably think I am crazy to even mention it let alone post something "Christmasy" but the truth is the publication calls are Fall/Winter already and well--when you start creating you have things to share *lol* Although this is more for the tree I just love the idea of decorating tins and putting something special in it. Can you imagine this tin all decked out for Easter too? You could hang it on a bedroom door handle or a special place in the house for the kiddos!
You'll note I added a rub-on sentiment on the top of the tin too.
Supplies
Patterned Paper: Good Cheer--Gingerbread by October Afternoon
Accents: Merry Christmas and Celebrate sentiments from Vintage Transfers by Melissa Frances, Vintage Trim by Melissa Frances, Red and White trim by Bazzill
Other: Tin from PTI
Have a wonderful Sunday. Hope to bring you some stampy things this week :) The kids are enjoying spring break which means I have to convince them to enjoy stamping with me (not too difficult with my daughter but my son is a different story) if I want to show you some new things *lol*

Grateful for You.
Last weekend we had the opportunity to go quading with some friends. We had such a fun time with them and enjoyed the sunshine too. On our way home our friends received a phone call that their daughter had been in accident and that the ambulance was on scene. I tell you we couldn't make it home fast enough at that point. The accident was bad enough that their daughter had to be air-vacked (sp?) to Children's Hospital. She is doing as well as she can be but has a long road to recovery. Thinking about you Kyla!!
It's moments like that when reality sets in again. It makes you look at all the petty things in life and question why you bothered with them and why you didn't just concentrate on the "good stuff. I encourage you to take a moment in the next few days to tell your loved ones you love them and send a friend or family member a card "just because".
And if you couldn't get...this is my card to all of you! Because I am grateful for you stopping by my blog :)
I used a variety of different copic markers to give this flower a soft appearance. You'll also see the button has been threaded with patterned paper.

Spring.
I am away from my desk for a few days so I have pre-set this post along with a few others to get me through until I am back. We have a big week this week (for my son) who is finally getting his autism and complex behaviour assessment done. I know this can be emotionally drawing experience and I wanted to give my 100% attention to his needs and to making this a smooth process. I will keep you updated. Please know that I wont be replying to e-mail until after Thursday.
I figured some spring cards were in order since many of my friends and even family members are getting another blast of winter. We had a dusting of snow yesterday but for the most part have been enjoying the beautiful sunshine and cold temperatures.
One of the "signs" of spring for me is "green". There is something about that fresh and vibrant green that brings a smile to my face. The newness of the flower buds and the leaves on the trees. Not to mention green grass--the smell of freshly cut grass.
You'll notice that I stamped the leafy image with the flowers. When I designed these stamps I had this in mind. I also designed the Spring Flowers sentiment to sit over the flower image. Nichole changed the sentiment a little to make it just perfect *smiles*. Just so you know those black strips are paper strips cut and placed over the patterned paper.

Spring comes late here in NS but I get all happy when I see the daffodils in the store. All closed up tight just waiting to open up in a warm house.
