This past Sunday,
Glenda Wyatt, who is one of my closest stamping friends, came over for a stamping session at my house. As I mentioned previously, Glenda teaches stamping classes in my area. I met her last July when I attended 2 of her classes during the Amuse-a-palooza week. A*muse stamps have always been among my favourite stamps. They are super fun to stamp and I just love all those whimsical sentiments.
Knowing that I had a big week ahead, a stamping session was in order, not to mention hanging out with a super cool and uber talented gal. I am not sure what it was, but Glenda and I just hit it off the moment we met. We talk to each other like we've known each other for years. I love friendships that are natural. I am very grateful to know her and be able to stamp and swap stories with her too. Hugs right at you Glenda!!
When Glenda arrives, cart in hand, she is prepared to make cards. She hauls out the
Amuse and I break out the PTI. If you have never worked side by side another stamper, it's really fascinating. I like to see how people work and what inspires them. I guess you can say I observe a little and get to know a style and personality behind the artist and her card :) The first time I experienced that other than when I used to sell SU! and host workshops was with
Sherrie Siemens right before Winter CHA in 2008. That was my first PTI release and I had a card or project posted almost every day leading up to my release and of course I was away for most of my release because I traveled to Anaheim. I learned a lot from Sherrie and of course have now learned a lot from Glenda.
Today's card is a simple one. My fav part about this card is the colour combo oh and those butterflies too. LOVE those butterflies.
Flutterby Flock and
Best Wishes are both part of the spring release called
Everything's Rosy.

On a side note, some of you have asked how the assessment went...it went well. We have discovered that our little boy (who is almost 8) was actually born left handed and has been using his right hand and most of the right side of his body for 8 years. We are making the switch to left through a personalized designed program. We are in it for the long haul but it should prove to be life changing.
Hugs,
Alli
