Are you busy?

As many of you know I am a busy lady! I am in the middle of report card time again (UGH!) and between my design team commitments and all the other fun papercraft stuff I get to do, making cards takes a back burner during this time*shock!* Don't get me wrong I love my job but it just means I have to prioritize things. Taking a "card break" is a good thing. It's a regain your focus kind of time.

Today's card was inspired by my friend Ang who is opening a children's boutique in our small town. Thank goodness I tell you! We really need a place to buy toys and outfits for our kiddos. Ang recently asked me if I would make some cards for her boutique and of course you KNOW I couldn't let her down. I decided to start with an uninked stamp set from Stampendous. I have had this stamp set for nearly 3 months now and I am only just inking it up.

The Bees

I made this card early last month for a submission. I ADORE these bees and I can tell you without a doubt that Beate had some influence in that department.
I figured a bright and cheery card would be in order for September. I can hardly believe that summer is coming to an end. Somehow the rain and fog for most of July and the overcast skies of August made it seem like spring rather than summer (anyone else???). I was fortunate to find some SUN during our vacation so my white skin looks a little less pasty...gotta love that strawberry blonde hair and fair skin.

Bee-u-tiful!

I still ADORE my bees. I keep looking at them on my shelf and can hardly wait for the next time I can stamp with them. I paired the bees up with one of my fav A muse stamps. I just placed another order for MORE fab A muse stamps too.

I had fun creating the "honeycomb" look using my cuttlebug and embossing template. I used my sparkly gel pen on the wings. They look SOOO good in person when they glitter.

Getting down with the monkeys!

You have to love it when the mail day is a good one! And it's even better when you get twice the fun! And it is THE BEST when you get a card from Beate!!! Beate sent me some of those Changito images I have been drooling over. I placed an order about a month ago for those monkeys but my local supplier (4 hours away hehe) can't get them until July when she places her order. So I figured I would sit patiently until Beate came to the rescue!!! Thank you Beate for making my day. I have had a lot of fun playing with Changito and his buds.
I also received my Karen Foster snap stamps in the mail too. I was so excited and have been using them all day long. I also created a few cards to get me through the next few days while I visit with my mum and brother. We are having a nice lil' family reunion. The kids and I can't wait! Too bad DH has to work.
So back to the cards...I decided to share Beate's card first (of course hers ROCKS!) and then one of my newly created cards using one of the images she sent me.
