Prima Extravaganza..My Clear Album

I had the privilege of attending a workshop from Prima at CHA. I have always been a fan of Prima flowers so when I heard Prima had a workshop I said sign me up. I was lucky enough to participate in a Build-A-Book Clear Album class that featured the Prima Urban Cosmos Line. We also got to play with Ranger stickles and liquid pearls as well as sakura pens. Trisha and Michelle (Fire and Ice Designs) taught the class. Check out the link to see the album they shared with us...I diverged a bit *lol*
If you haven't heard of the Build-A-Book clear album you are in for a treat. Essentially you can build the book any way you like it as each piece integrates in the album...meaning you can add any size or shape to your album. These albums are offered in 6x6 or 6x12!

Look at that cute polka dot tape...the pink polka dots...The flower was cut out from the PP.


Did you notice those liquid pearls???


I added some stickles to the flower to make it shimmer.

I coloured on top of the clear album using a sakura pen, liquid pearls and stickles. You need to make sure you set it aside to dry. Our class was a 2 hour class and this was one of our first assignments...

Back to the stamp room

I was back in my stamp room today...still organizing and purging. It amazes me after 4 years dedicated to stamping how much stuff a person can acquire. But I know I don't need to explain that to you because you're probably in my boat too!

Today's card was created around some BEAUTIFUL patterned paper I acquired through dumpster diving *lol* (did I say that out loud?). At the end of CHA some of the worn or torn paper is discarded...I couldn't resist giving this patterned paper from Deja Views (Little Yellow Bicycle) a loving home despite the wear and tear and tape...take a peek...(this was one of my FAVs for patterned paper at CHA)

Ali-where are the chipboard letters from (what brand, site,etc) in the first photo? Looks like there are two sizes, I'm interested in either, but the teal ones especially.

That pic was taken at the Basic Grey booth. Although I can't be 100% sure, I would assume the letters are from the new chipboard monograms through Basic Grey. They have quite a few to choose from.

Could you give me some details on how the clock versions were made please. It was great to have my first comment answered. I know your time is precious and I appreciate all you share.

Both of these clocks were clocks you would pick up at your local department stores like Walmart, Target etc. They just applied patterned paper to the clock most likely with modge podge or a form of adhesive that would work with the given surface after which they applied embellishments over top. I know there are clock kits you can buy (the hands and motor) and then you could also purchase a surface like a plate and drill a hole through it and adhere paper to it. You could even buy a big piece of chipboard, paint it and then apply patterned paper too. There are many different possibilities. I hope that answers your questions.

CHA inspiration just 4 U!

Although CHA is over the memories of the trip are still fresh in my mind. I wanted to take this opportunity to share some of the fun things I got to see. I planned to share these photos with you so that you too could be just as inspired as I was. Today's post will focus on projects only...enjoy.
