Cards a la Kinkade Patterned Paper

Have you had an opportunity to check out the Thomas Kinkade 8x8 patterned paper by CHF? The possibilities for cards, home decor, and giftware is endless. Check out the beauties in the gallery.
Today I am going to showcase some of the cards I created using the masculine pack. Want to know the best part? These are five minutes or less kinda cards. And let me tell you, the sweet 8x8, 4x4, 2x2 sizes make it so easy to pick and choose just the right look.

I created a frame for the 2x2 TK image using my nestabilities.

I know many of you are intimidated by the TK stamps--they are beautiful but for some there is a lot of colouring involved. To tell you the truth when I first started with CHF I was SO scared of TK images. Throughout the year I have purchased a few more and have noticed that the many TK tutorials in the CHF forums have helped me become a better TK colorer--wow am I in Kindergarten or what--look ma I can colour! For those of you who love the beauty of the TK images but have been frightened to try I encourage you to try.

TK Colouring Tips
Begin with chalk. Then, if you need to you can erase the chalk and begin again. When you become more proficient, first stamp your image in a rich pigment--versafine ink followed by versamark directly over top. You will be wowed. I'd like to thank Debbie Olsen for teaching me that trick.

Have a super day.

Wow the paper makes great cards. I love to color my TK stamps. I use H20`s and a magnifing glass and have a wonderful time. I feel almost like and artist. Thanks for the tip on the versamark.
