Butterfly Beauties!

As you know I am a MAJOR Papertrey Ink fan. I love Papertrey designs and seriously wait on the edge of my seat to receive them...not to mention wait up until midnight to order them. Now I know that I am not alone here *lol*. I can still hardly believe that we get a sneak peak at 5 new Papertrey Ink stamps sets starting July 10th. That's a good day for me regardless (it's my son's birthday) but man top that with new RUBBAH and this girl has BIG smiles.

I mentioned yesterday that I would share my butterfly beauties with you. I don't get to use this stamp set nearly enough but after the last few days I am happy to say I have had another butterfly fix.
You'll notice that I uploaded two cards but changed the ribbon. Isn't it amazing how that subtle change can make a HUGE difference in the look of the card. I would love to hear what card you like best and why.

Butterfly Beauties Card Recipe

Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, River Rock
Ink: Noir Black (Palette), Purely Pomegranate, River Rock
Stamp Set(s): Butterfly Kisses (Papertrey Ink), Faux Ribbon (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Sakura Sparkle Pen, Scallop Circle Punch (Marvy), Raspberry Polka Dot Ribbon (American Crafts), Black & White Polka Dot Ribbon (Dots, Dashes and Checks), Slit Punch

Note: Card size is 4.25x4.25 (can you tell from my posts lately that I LOVE this card size???)

Well I can hardly believe it, but I have hit the 75000 mark (insert *screams*). Thank you again for stopping by and visiting me. When I hit 50000 at the beginning of June I mentioned my next blog candy would be at 75000...so stay tuned for some blog candy in the next few days.

Because I love to stamp and you do too!

Wow both those cards look stunning - I really cant decide which one I like better :)
I think the red ribbon - it enhances the butterfly image more.

I would like to know do you wrap the ribbon all the way around the back of the card so it can be seen on the inside of the card? or is there some tricky way of hiding it?
love your blog - have added it to my faves ;)

I like the black ribbon better. Why? Just cause I like black dotted ribbon! Both cards are nice.

These are great cards Alli. I like the red ribbon because it makes the butterfly pop!

Both of these are gorgeous! I love that set, and need to get mine out again as well. Yep...I'm one of those "Midnighters". ;)

Wow, so hard to choose! Both are just beautiful but I think I would have to go with the black polka dots ribbon too. It was really hard to choose though!

Both cards are great. My personal preference though is the red ribbon. I agree with those who say it makes the butterfly image "pop" more. Ida

I like the red-ribbon card, I think it coordinates better with the paper and the butterfly :)

funny how everyone's opinion is different! I will even it out and say the black ribbon...I think the red one competes too much and the black one lets the butterfly be the focal. They both are lovely...Congrats on the 75000 mark. WOW!

It's so hard to decide between 2 such beautiful cards. If I must, I guess the red because it draws attention to your beautiful butterfly.

They are both really pretty cards, but my favorite is the one with the raspberry ribbon. Not sure why but it just stands out more to me. They're both beautiful cards, though!

Love the cards, it is amazing how changing something as simple as ribbon can so change the look of the cards.

I just found your blog. Do I ever love what you did with that butterfly. Gorgeous.

Both are beautiful cards but I like the one with the black ribbon best. The red ribbon seems to shout rather than complement the whole card layout . Just my opinion - I am sure others will disagree. Having said that I would love to receive either one as they are both lovely.

Wow....I love them both. They are gorgeous! My favorite is with the black ribbon though. Hugs and smiles

Well, here's my two cents worth, I Love Love Love the raspberry riboon. I like the fact that it matches the butterfly perfectly and I also like that the dots are smaller. Very elegant cards! Your blog is terrific! I come check it out every day!

Take Care

Personally, I like the black ribbon better. Just seems to tie the card all together better. But, I really like them both. :)

All I can say is WOWWWWWWWWWWW! Your cards are just beautiful. Where did you get the wonderful butterfly stamp? You just amaze me with your work.

The black ribbon adds just the right balance to the more dominant focal point, the butterfly. Beautiful work!!

I know your post is dated the 7th, but I was on vacation. I just want to say that both of these cards are so pretty, but I especially like the one with the red ribbon. It really makes that butterfly jump off your page. Nice job.

I really like the one with the black ribbon better. The neutral tones of the black make the color of the butterfly pop as the focal point. Nice job! Mary
