Don't you just love release time? I know I do. Today's card was completely inspired by Kim Hughes. It only seems fitting that I be inspired by the creator of Sweet Spring. Kim has such a unique style. She has this way of creating bold designs and yet she maintains a simplicity to her style too.
One of the things I admire about a lot of her work is her use of ink. Have you ever noticed that she likes using a variation of colour (each image has it's own colour) and that she almost always coordinates her ink colour to the patterned paper or embelishments? I just {heart} how she pulls it all together--pure genious! Now I have to tell you, not colouring an image is a hard thing for me not to do but I was pleased with the outcome...
