A Little Friend

Wow your response to my giveaway has been amazing--if you haven't answered yet you still have a chance (see the post below)! Thank you to all for sharing you fav sites, sources of inspiration and summer plans. A few of you asked me to answer the questions as well...sooo here goes....

1) your favourite online store for embellishments and designer paper
My absolute FAV online stores for embellishments is Ellen Hutson and Starlitstudio.
Ellen always adds the cutest and trendiest things to her store--not to mention the customer service is top notch.
Cindy, of StarLitStudio also carries very trendy items and has fab customer service as well.
My FAV place to buy scrapbook stuff (other than my LSS) is Blackberry Paper
I only JUST discovered this place but was extremely pleased with the customer service and care that went into sending my package of goodies. I have already placed two orders through this store *lol*and I think I have only known about it since late April.

2) your favourite scrapbook idea site
I enjoy many sites, right now I am LOVING the layouts the CHF girls are sharing but have always been a fan of twopeasinabucket.I found that site way back in 2002 when I started scrapbooking....but you have shared some yesterday that I know I will frequent regularly.

3) what you are doing this summer
Every year we meet with family at the lake (sometimes 18 of us). We enjoy lounging on a deck in the sun, swimming, reading, going on an adventure...no TV, no computers (ok...unless you are my SIL or me! *lol*) We search out the coffee shops and hope to find a signal to download our e-mail. Last year it was tough because I couldn't share anything on my blog for over 2 weeks. Since blogger has provided the scheduled releases I can prepare ahead of time! Other than that, I have my annual teacher training in August and will likely spend lots of time on the beach with the kids. With beaches like ours you HAVE to enjoy them. Mind you I don't tan so I will be hiding from the sun and perhaps digging a hole and building a castle with the kiddos.

While I am chit chatting...a few of you asked me about the blue box in THIS post. I purchased them through Taylored Expressions Taylor carries a variety of favor boxes made with Prism Paper.

Today's card was inspired by friendship. I created the little bird to "blend" into the card to show that even when you can't see your friends they are always there for you. I am sure we all have a little bird...um friend... like that in our lives!

Love that Snickerdoodle paper and all the colors. I'm a birder so I'm in heaven with the current trend right now. In fact, this morning while out in the fog feeding the birds, I was scolded by a Baltimore Oriole! That happens 1 day a year here...a good find! I think we finally have spring (the lilacs were blooming down lower in town yesterday).
