Make it Matter!

One of the benefits of working so closely with the CHF team is our morning discussions...ok truth be told we are a chatty bunch so we have discussions ALL day long *wink*. Julie Campbell shared a wonderful story with us today and it just made me smile. That Julie...let me tell you, she is SO sweet and thoughtful. The long and the short of it is she gave a card to someone who really needed it. The recipient was so touched and surprised that Julie gave her a card that she hugged her and began to share the difficulties she had been going through. The card opened the door to a friendship. As a result, Julie challenged use to make a card specifically for someone this next week. She went on to add that "It could really make a difference in someone's life."

Today's card was created for this challenge and will be given to a young lady..a teenager in our community who needs to be acknowledged for all the good she does. I am sure she will be very surprised as she won't see this one coming! On that note, I challenge YOU to also make a card for someone--make it someone who you don't typically communicate with on a regular basis: a neighbour, a teacher, a physician, a store clerk, a librarian... Make it Matter!

What a sweet and fun card! I am sure she will feel really special! Once a week some SCS stamping friends and I choose a thread from the Need a Lift forumand send our cards to that person - it has made a difference to a lot of them -- and more to us, I think!

That is such a sweet thing to do. I'm gonna have to put my thinking cap on and figure out whose life a card from me might 'make a difference.' Great card too, BTW! tfs
