Something for me and something for you!

I had such a great time at the PTI party last night--what a fun bunch of ladies. In the end, while we were waiting for the new stamps to show up on the site, there were ladies who were literally (ok...in fun) holding their carts at the door...blocking the rest of us from going in! It was insane to see that 406 people had entered Nichole's draw in a matter of minutes. All in all a fantastic night with the girls and we talked about everything...I think I am getting a dog right Sherrie??? *lol* No seriously...no dogs in this house for a while. The kids, cats and husband keep me busy enough.

On the exciting front...a new toy arrived today..thanks to Trudee for enabling me--I am going professional now...well more professional than a few pieces of paper, 3 lights and lots of photoshop editing *grins* This tent is HUGE! It is going to take some getting used to.

It's the OBN 24" Photography Lighting Tent

It's an early night for me and I haven't the energy to complete my half made project for today's colour challenge over at SCS--sage shadow, apricot appeal and rose red. I will finish that up by mid to late morning and then share it with you.

Anyways I was looking through my stash today and noticed I ordered one too many Memory Maker slides...so you know what that means? You have a chance to win it!

To be entered in the draw, tell me one thing I can do to improve my blog! You can be brutally honest too. I am ok with that. Criticism only makes you stronger. I will pick a name through the random generator Wednesday night at 11PM PST and post the persons name on my blog on Thursday's post.

Because I love to stamp and you do too!
Alli

Hi Allie,
First, I'd like to say I enjoy your blog and seeing your artwork.
What I'd really like is more tips and how to's....step by step instructions.
Thank you so much for sharing your talent and allowing us to give our input.
You have a wonderful week!

Ooh, Alli! I love those MM little "frames." I have several sets but not that one, so thank you for this awesome opportunity! I seem to only detailed oriented when it comes to things that I do so I am not a very good one to ask for critique. I love your blog and visit everyday I have time to blog visit!

I visit your blog everyday. You have great ideas, good quality photos, you post the recipe and helpful information - I think your blog is so much more informative and helpful than many of the others. The only thing I can think of to improve is to post several times a day!!!! HEHEHE
Thanks!!

Well - not that I am a professional or anything - but this suggestion is more from the actual blog - I would tone down the white - it just glare's at me (not that that has stopped me from looking at your blog every day!

I'll be honest...NOTHING! hehehe, I would love to see some step-by-step tutorial, that's always fun.

thanks for the chance!

I really like your blog as is but perhaps more COLOR would spice it up a bit. Thanks for offering such a neat prize.

Umm...if I had to pick anything, I guess I'd say that because it's a bit plain, you might want to add some color, but I think the way you have it is very nicely effective too. =) Good luck and thanks for the offer!

Hey Allie;
I like your blog, it is a little white- what can I say... I'm an artist and I love color. I love to see "how" things are made so tutorials are always nice too. But if you like your blog the way it is, keep it. It is beautiful.

Hi Alli,

First I love your blog just the way it is, you are very talented & I love visiting on a regular basis!

Maybe tutorial & how to's? (is that the same thing!)

Enjoy your new toy!

Love the new toys you got. That's the next thing on my list of none crafty stuff to get, a portable reflector for my photograhy :D My suggestion, from a web designer, is to get more color in. White space is good, less is more, they say, but too much is a strain to the eyes. Also, you don't have a "Home" button or your banner isn't clickable. There's nothing (at least that's obvious) for me to click to get back to the main page with all your content. You need something that takes you back to http://allistamps.blogspot.com/. Also, your site isn't ADA compliant, you have no alt tags for your images. Alt tags help people who are visually impair "look" at your site. It's what the computers read out to them. So I see your picture but the computer, if you have an alt tag that says Alli's picture, will read "Alli's picture" to the computer user. Ok, probably too many suggestions, huh?

Good luck with the new Photo set up!!
Improve? You can't! Although I am sure that the new way you take pics will be better. Otherwise, I truly love your blog!!

I agree with those who said "Some Color." You are very talented, and I love seeing your creations, but I do love color!

More pictures!!!!!!!! Hehehehe. I'm a very visual person, and I love to see pictures of cards, sketches, heck, even your back yard full of flowers.

I'm dragging here at work today cuz I stayed up waaaaaay too late for the PTI release. Thanks for the chance to win some blog candy! Now I just have to see what CHF is releasing tomorrow! What a week! :-)

I would like to see more artwork, close-ups, coloring tips, process from start to finish. I'm not a fan of "being tagged" articles on any blog. Thanks for asking.

Sherrie said...

cool photography toy Alli! Your cards are going to even look better (didn't think that was possible)! You know you will have a hard time going home without a pup.....smiles. Thank-you for coming and saying such gushing things about my cards in the DD gallery, what a wonderful friend you are!

I would like to see a site index or whatever it is called that would list topics like "cards, personal, dimensional artwork" etc. When I am in a stamping rut I like to pick the blogs that have this feature so I can just look at the card entries to get inspiration, being able to bypass entries that have other things or topics.

I love your blog -- it's fantastic! One thing you could do is categorize your postings -- by stamp companies, topic, etc. I think all bloggers should do that. It's sooo helpful if I'm looking for a particular post. I think Blogspot makes it easy to "label" your posts!! I love white/or light blogs -- makes reading easier and the pictures stand out. But maybe a little more color -- on your banner?

A dog.

LOLOL, j/kiddin' ... archives/labels. And I love all the white .. nice and clean.

I'm certainly no blog expert, not even a novice, but maybe a 3 column blog? I actually love your blog and visit everyday. So, I'm easy to please. Your art work is enough to keep me coming back day after day. Thanks so much!

Congratulations on the "studio!" I am sure you'll have fun with it.

As for improvements, since you asked, I am throwing out a totally superficial suggestion...a little less white on the blog? I find it a little glarish and takes a bit away from your great cards. Having said that I am still here every night!!!

Cheers Alli,

Yosha

To be honest - I love it the way it is...however, if I have to give a suggestion mine would be to add some color to your site. Also, I too would love to see tutorials.

I love your site and visit daily. By the way, I love the slides - sure hope I have luck on my side!!!!!
