I want to begin today's post answering some questions I received yesterday in regards to the acetate sheets.
ACETATE SHEET Q&A
1) Where did you get your acetate sheets?
I live in Canada and buy the acetate (or overhead) sheets at my local Staples...haha local is funny because local is quite far away for me. Did you know that if you buy $50 or more at Staples the items can be shipped for free? *smiles*
2) What ink do you use on acetate sheets?
I usually stamp a permanent ink on the sheet, StazOn is one of my favs (the trick is keeping a steady hand).
3) Are they (acetate sheets) strong enough to make a card base out of?
I have actually used these sheets as bases many times. You can have a look at THIS card to get an idea.
4) Which kind of adhesive do you use with the acetate?
Adhesive can be tricky on clear sheets, that is why a button or embelishment in the corner over the top of the clear sheet can be your best friend. I usually conceal my adhesive under one of those points (I have glue dots holding down my buttons in addition to holding down my acetate sheet...you just can't see it because of the buttons). I have also used brads or eyelets in the corners and avoid adhesive altogether. There IS an adhesive made just for this sort of thing but I find that it still shows through it (more minimally). The stuff I used was called Crop & Glue Vellum Adhesive.
Ok, now to some RAKs. I have waited too long to share some of these. Every RAK I receive is SOOO important to me. I truly cherish it.
Diana Crick (Don't you just LOVE Scor-Pal???--it is the tool I use THE most every time I make a card)
Charmaine Ikach (I know Charmaine was inspired to create this from the SU! catty but it is even better in person--ty)
Andrea Hays (Andrea won this stamp set from me a while back...I was so pleased to receive it as a thank you for being a Featured Stamper on her blog. How nice is that??? The card is BEAUTIFUL. Have you checked out her weekly FS? She has had some fabulous interviews!!!)
Christie Ortman (I just LOVE this card!!! Christie's PP site has a whole new look and she has fun coming up...look for the deets on the Paper Pretties site)
Asela Hopkins (head on over and win some AWESOME blog candy from her too)
Mel Henderson (hi Mel...I bet you never imagined seeing this card on my blog...I LOVE that you are loving SU!--Mel is a good friend of mine and I am so proud of her stamping!)
I had a really early morning today so I am heading to bed now...I have some more RAKs coming up in the next week. So if you have sent me something and you don't see it yet...it's coming.
If I have a chance, and if we have power (yes...wind AGAIN), I am hoping to upload a recent card I created using some PTI stamps.
Because I love to stamp and you do too!

Thanks so much for your answers re: acetate. I haven't been able to find any thick enough at my Staples store or any around me, though. Is there perhaps a link on their website to the specific type you use?
Every one of these is so lovely! Thanks for sharing!
