That is a ton of hits! Congrats on creating such a well loved blog. My favorite summer memories are when the kids were little and we had a small camp trailer that we used to tow to different lakes and campgrounds in the Pacific Northwest. I loved lying out on the hammock reading a book while my husband and kids were out hiking. At night we'd sit around the campfire and toast marshmallows and tell funny stories.

Way to go on 100K! No wonder so many hits--you have a great blog! My fav summer memory: Our first family vacation to Colorado to see the awesome mountains! (no mountains here in WI) Didn't God do a marvelous job on them? Beauty at every turn! Thanks for sharing your talent with us! 8-)

My favorite summer memory goes back to my teen years My older sister and I used to sit up on the front porch pillers and sing and watch the hot guys go by and talk about school and life and our hopes & dreams.

100K, congratulations, what a milestone! My favorite summer memories were the trips we took as a family to a cabin in Maine. The cabin was on a lake. I can remember the smell of the water, the pine trees, going for canoe rides, fishing, etc. Happy times.

Congratulations on hitting the 10K mark. My most remarkable memory would have to be the day we had the central air conditioner installed. As small as that seems, I truly appreciate it every summer.

Congratulations!! And thank you for sharing your creativity with all of us. a few years ago I took a trip to do research for my family tree. Not only did I get some great info, but I met relatives I never knew I had. It was great fun and one of my favorite summer memories.

Happy 100,000 Hits! I just miss being young in the summer - having no school and no responsibilites. As kids, my brother, sister and I always spent our summers bike riding, swimming, playing on the swing set and playing racketball. We had a dream backyard for summer fun!

Congrats on the hits! I know your blog is one of my favourites on my blog cruising.

Favourite summer memory... too many to pick one, so I am going to go with one from this summer and our trip to Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron. We drove across the island to visit the Mississagi Strait Lighthouse. We love to go exploring, turning down whichever road suits our fancy. We hadn't really explored Manitoulin Island, and the trip across the island to the lighthouse was a lot of fun and we saw lots of interesting things.

Congrats on 100K. My favourite summer memory is the first summer I spent with my husband (boyfriend then). We had the greatest time ever - getting to know each other and starting to realize this was a premanent thing.

Congrats on hitting 100,000 hits! That's fantastic! My favorite summer memory is being hugely pregnant with my son. He was born in September, so I was big and pregnant throughout the summer. We even went camping (where I slept on the ground) and swam in the river when I was 8 months along. It was great!

Congrats on hitting 100K!! That is huge!!!
My favorite sumer memories are going swimming in the river with the neighbor kids and riding horse. I still ride horse, just not with the same members as I have gotten married and moved.

Your beautiful blog is one of my favourite places to visit. You are a real inspiration, and I always appreciate the tips you share.

My favourite day this summer was a beautiful day in Frankenmuth, Michigan with my hubby. The Bavarian village is a showcase of beauty with its flowers, quaint shops and distinctive food and architecture. From the horse drawn carriages to the paddle boat touring on the river to the covered bridge, a most memorable and enjoyable day.

Wow! I can't even imagine having 100K hits on a blog! My favorite summer memory is the county and state fairs! Most of my summers growing up involved getting projects ready from posters to walking sheep to riding horse and teaching the dog obedience. I LOVED being a country girl and spending the whole week at the fair! I still go every year!

My favorite summer memory was a family vacation in Orlando. We had a great time at the Disney parks taking my granddaughter for the first time. It was so much fun seeing it all thru her 3 year old eyes. She was so excited that Cinderella kissed her and wore the lipstick mark all day.

Congratulations for reaching 100K!!! That is so awesome. My favorite summer memory is from when I was 9. My mom, 2 brothers & myself, my uncle & aunt and there 3 kids piled into a Cadillac , drove from LA to Winfield Kansas. It was during the summer and we had no air conditioning. We drove straight through. I can remember sleeping on the floor of the backseat. It was such a fun trip and really didn't seem that long.

My favorite summer memory is seeing my kids when they were little enjoying the pool, they had so much fun & that water was freezing (well water & it never did warm up) & their little lips were blue but they did not want to come out. Now my daughter is always cold & I remind her about how cold that pool water was & she just laughs at the memory.

Congratulations! Tough for me! This summer was so much fun that I'll have to pick something from it. We went to the Grand Canyon as a family and my little one had a little accident during one of our hikes. It was so wonderful to see her big sister console her. It was equally wonderful to see her own strength and how she didn't give up. Plus the scenery is just breathtaking. Thanks, Sandra

Ali, I LOVE your blog. I check it every morning. Thanks for sharing your creatvity with us.

My best summer memorie is when my family and I went camping in the Pennsylvania mountains. We went to a place called French Creek which had a spring fed lake. The water was so cold that they had a warning sign that pregnant women and people with heart conditions shouldn't swim because of the shock to their systems. I still remember the feeling of waiting until you were good and hot and then plunging into the frigid water.

Anonymous said...

Wow, what a benchmark! You are quite popular, and rightfully so :) When I was a child, I loved to go fishing at the creek...I would dig worms, or catch grasshoppers, and head off to the creek with my cane pole. It was so peaceful, and fun, and I was always excited if I caught some fish!!!

Racking up 100K is a huge accomplishment....I'm sure that the next milestones will come quickly. I have so many favorite summers but last year was very special. My husband is ill with cancer so I left my job to pursue his dream of travelling. Last year we bought an RV and set out to spend the summer travelling to his boyhood home in Minnesota. He was able to see most of his family, many of which he had not seen in 20 years. It was a very special time for our family!

It was held in a palace, (my niece was married) and my 7 year old was the flower girl. Both niece and daughter were absolutely beautiful, as was the memory.

Congrats on 100K! How awesome is that! My favorite summer memory is visiting my grandparents' cabin on a lake in northern Minnesota as a child. You deserve every hit Allison. Your blog is lovely. It's well laid out and informative.
I have so many happy summer memories because my husband is a teacher and so it is special family time. However one summer which sticks out was when we packed the girls into the van and headed out across Canada. We got to Quebec City before we started to tire and homesickness brought us back home. This weekend my eldest is moving out of home so such long family vacations are probably a thing of the past.

My favorite summer memory was the first summer I got to spend with my dad and his new wife. I was so scared that she wouldn't like me (I was nine) and that I would really miss my mom. I got there and the very first thing I did was spill a bottle of red nail polish on her dress. I was SO devastated. I couldn't imagine what she would do to me. Well, she looked at me and said, 'Oh it's okay..we all make mistakes. No matter what you do, you will always be loved and welcome in our home'. To this day we are still very very close and I will always cherish that statement from her because not all step-kids have it so good or have a family close enough to deal with divorce and still keep things sane enough for the kids involved. Congrats on 100,000 hits, by the way!!

Hi Congrats on your hits. Well deserved I must say. My favorite memories of summer are when I was a kid and we always went to Saskatchewan to my cousins farm. They had Sportsdays in little towns all around them which consisted of alot of ball playing and fun games and prizes the adults arranged each year. They still do it. I really need to go back soon. I wonder if I can relive those memories 25 years later.
Thanks for the great blog candy opportunity.

Wow you are hitting the big time numbers.

My favorite memory is watching my 6 year old teach his 4 year old sister how to ride her 2 wheeler. It was very cute and he did a much better job than I did. He told her to go on the grassy field so it would not hurt when she fell and how to adjust her pedal to start easier.

They fight so often that when they are so caring for each other it melts you.

My favorite summer memory is from this year when my black lab, Ebony, had her first liter of puppies on Mother's Day. We kept the biggest one, which just happens to be a black male lab and we named him Zoro.

Hi Alli! Whoa, you've got alot of light reading to do! My favorite memory occurred in our backyard in the summertime. My dad would rent 16mm movies from the library and set up our movie screen in the backyard. We'd invite all the neighbors, my mom would make popcorn and serve root beer floats...yum! Then all the kids would lie in the cool grass and look for the constellations in the sky while the adults chatted..it was a joyful, carefree time. Wish we could do it again!

my favorite summer memory was when I was in middle school, and a group of friends all road our bicycles to the beach, and stayed to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July. The sounds and smells of childhood summers....can't be beat.

This last summer was my favorite of all. My son married his college sweetheart just this month and they are so adorable together. We love her and she is the perfect addition to our family!

My favorite memory this summer is the week we spent at the week. It was the first time my son has seen the ocean and it was priceless!

Ali, can't tell you how much I enjoy your blog, learning lots and being motivated by your projects keeps me going! My fave memory as a kid was going to the Sandbanks Provincial Park in Ontario to camp and be with family; now that I have children still like to visit and camp with our family and friends at this amazing local beach! Keep those ideas coming!
