Celebrating 50000! It's time for some BLOG CANDY!

YAY it's blog candy time again!!!
Thank you again to all of my readers. It has truly been a pleasure posting. I have hit many milestones recently including posting over 100 cards in my SCS gallery and I am just shy of posting 150 messages to my blog. Watch for the next blog candy around 75000.

I had fun collecting my blog candy over the past month. I included lots of my favourite things including an AWESOME sakura gelly roll pen...the kind that leaves GLITTER!!!! I also just received my marvy punches today so I am including lots of scalloped punches too in oval, square and circles.

As you know, I love NEW things (don't we all???). Tell me about a tool or recent stamp/stamp set that is a must have for you. You don't have to own it, perhaps it is on your wish list. Enable me! Links are welcome. I would love to add some hot and trendy items to my ever growing collection of goodies. I have no idea how we are going to move all this stuff in 2 years. Fortunately DH's work pays for our move and the packers come in and deal with the mess *lol* Maybe I will make them a thank you "for dealing with my addiction" card while they are packing *wink*.

You will receive 3 packages of clear stamps, a mounting block, American craft brads, some spool ribbon, some Primas, an assortment of Marvy scallop punches, some 6x6 DP from SU! and Basic Grey, a sparkly Gelly Roll pen and an Alli Miles card!

Remember to check below for new posts since this post is dated for the closing day (June 2nd). The winner will be announced the morning of June 3rd.

Because I love to stamp and you do too!
Alli

YEah, what fun...blog candy! I have really been enjoying my paper piercer lately. I just got it a few months ago and now nearly every card I create has some element of piercing on it. I could not live without my patterned paper though. I am NUTS over PP. I think I have a sickness with PP. Lately I've seen some adorable monkey stamps from Stampendous that I am dying to get. It's killing me. Ugh!

Well, I've been buying paper and stamps and ink for a while but only just started collecting all the little things that help with our "craft". I Versamark PEN, ink refills, bone folder, cotton balls, a tub of baby wipes...LOL! All these little things that you need to try all the really fun techniques. Congratulations on 50,000 hits - that is really remarkable.

Hi! I love your blog. I can see why so many people stop by for inspiration. I must say, a "must have" in my studio is my Palette ink. It's that mix between dye and pigment formula that makes it so versatile. (Check it out here-)

Of course, Noir is the color I use most. It is great for indexing your unmounted stamps (if you use the type with Creative Cling.) Using unmounted stamps gives me more room for what else? More stamps! (See indexing instructions here -)

Hi Alison, I am lusting for a cuttlebug. Well, it's one of the things that I make me whimper when I enter a craft store and realize I must pass by.On a more realistic note, I really like what you do with those fab large scalloped circle punches...do they exist in Victoria?
Loved you blog, right from the beginning,
Rachael

I saw a great bendy ruler in a scrapbook magazine but couldn't find it anywhere. Then I found a bendable ruler for drafting at Staples. Much less expensive and I love using it for curves on all size cards.

The one tool that I use all the time is my paper piercer. I love the look of faux stitching! The one tool I wish I had is the Score-It! Congrats on your 50,000 hits!

Anonymous said...

Congrats on all those hits. They're well-deserved because your blog is fantastic. My favorite tool is my scalloped oval punch and am chomping at the bit to get the square and circle.

Congrats on 50k! I've been visiting daily for some weeks, but this is actually my first comment.

I'm a big fan of distressing, so I added to my wishlist the Basic Grey Precision Set (http://www.basicgrey.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=40&products_id=897)
but I don't own it -yet :p

Beth Thomas said...

My most favorite, latest purchase is my Magnetic Precision Mat from BG! I'm not sure how I "survived" without it. Not only is it great for a cutting mat but anything that needs to stay put does (like layering ribbons, etc.)

Hmm... tools that I love. I would probably die of frustration if I did not have my Adtech glue runner. I tried several different types of glue and glue runners and this one is AWESOME. With all otehr brands, it always seemed as if something was always popping up. And you cannot beat$2.27 for two refills!! I am addicted to DP. What super candy! I just got finished stamping and this makes me want to do some more!

Let's see, it seems like I am always a little behind the trends, but I am totally obsessed with patterened paper. i just bought the big stack (180 sheets!) from JoAnn's for only 9.99! I thought that was a great deal. And with Beate's new tutorial, I have actually rediscovered my scalloped scissors -- so much fun. I also got a new set at Archiver's last night. It is a clear set and I love it -- all beach themed.

Wow! 50,000 hits...well done! My newest purchases have been a couple sets from My Favorite Things (http://www.mftstamps.com/)
I stumbled upon a stamp store in the Orlando, FL area and evidently Kim (the designer of mft) lives close by and actually does classes at the store! Wish I could have attended one of her classes. I purchased the Dino Mite and Say Charge sets and would have purchased more, but they were out!

Congratulations on your huge amount of hits! It's awsome!
There is only one thing on my mind that I really crave for right now (besides breakfast...) and that is to try out the new rubberstamp I bought yesterday from Sandi Miller. Wild daisy.

http://www.usartquest.com/cgi-bin/Shopper.cgi?preadd=action&key=SMF019

I've seen it around for severeal years actually but never got around to find it here in Norway. But yesterday I did and I cant wait to get my hubby and kids out of the house to try it. Sandi Millers rubberstamps are so "clean" allowing me to play with lots of colors, textures, tecniques like perfect pearls, goldleaf etc.

Jan Scholl said...

I want all the bunny stamps from Stampendous. I thought th eHOuse MOuse were so cute and they have now outdone themselves.

And I also need some polkadotted orange ribbon and it appears it comes in every color but that one. ANd I need dark brown Stickles-which they dont make either.

What a wonderful idea! Well, lets see....
If you don't own a cuttlebug, I would say that's a MUST (even if you just used it for the embossing folders)...if you already have one, then how about a crop-a-dile? They have them in lime green now! Then of course there's the new Gina K stams that are made to go along with the scalloped punches....
I'm running outta ideas! Chances are, you already own everything I'm coming up with anyway! LOL!
Hope I win!
Congrats on your milestone!

As for Stamp Sets- I love my Paisley Background from SU- I do so much with it- it adds an umph to a card that might be lacking!

So, do I have to stick to one? It's sooo hard because I have so many loves. Copic Markers are absolutely fab for coloring, Tombow and SU markers for water color, Cuttlebug for texture and dies, Distress inks for aging (so smooth), Versamagic for acrilic and bold stamps, MFT and Lockhart stamps and the list goes on and on. I can't pick just one because there are so many things I use depending on what look I am trying to achieve. Oh ya, and I LOVE Art Institue Glitters, they are perfect for colored glitter. I enjoy stalking your inspiring blog and am personally responsible for many of your hits:) I am a paperholic. I don't need any, I just keep buying & buying. My wish list includes Bella stamps. If I'd quit buying paper, maybe I could afford them.

What great blog candy! My latest desire is the newest crop-o-dile (green I think) that punches holes further into a page or card. Yum!

congrats on the big 50 000! I am a subscriber to your blog and enjoy every addition you add, thanks for the inspiration! My fave tool right now is the new border punch tool by tonic! It makes it possible to do those scallop edges myself and tons of others, even has a measure to make sure everything is evenly spaced and in a perfect line! My wish list is always there, but I do seem to love the Papertray stamps and I am a fan of CTMH paper because you can sand it and age it so easily, also their black is the richest darkest black ever! Congrats again!

wow! congratulations on 50K! :)
i love your blog, so i'm not surprised. thanks for sharing your creativity.

I'm a sucker for any kind of paper. I used to make paper and love everything about it -- the organic nature of it, the colors and designs, the feel. I'd say it's the best tool I have. Oh, yeah, there's all those new punches, too, but what would I use them on, if it weren't for paper? Thank you for your enthusiasm and inspiration. It is easy to see why you have so many regular visitors. Count me among them.

Congratulations on reaching 50,000 hits! That is truly a milestone! As far as tools, I could not live without my Cuttlebug. I want to use it on every card!

Cool, congrats! My fav tool I have is my mat pack from SU, I use it all the time! A tool I've been eyeing for a while, is the Bind-It-All. Very cool looking tool and lots of uses!

One of my favorite tools is the Scor-It. It makes scoring so simple and produces a professional crease for any project you are doing. Mine was a Christmas gift from my Mom which she purchased at Archivers, but I know that Ellen Hutson's Web Store carries them. I've purchased many items through Ellen and she is an absolute delight to do business with.

I enjoy your blog and find it a wonderful inspiration. Thanks so much for the great posts!

Well, my favorite stamps are currently stamping bellas. I wish I could own every single one of them!! They adorable and fun to color and paper-piece together. I guess its because they remind me of paper dolls, which I loved when I was a kid!!

The ones I have to have however are the scallop ones so since i don't have them all, your "candy" is awesome. Connie

I am totally coveting, well maybe not coveting, but really really wanting a curvy ruler. I think it is by Bo Bunny. I know it is pink and comes in a circle. It stretches out and you twist and turn it however you want to cut wavy lines. I so need this tool, I mean I really need this tool.

Anonymous said...

I don't have them but they are on my wishlist. Living on an island in Alaska we don't have the scrapbooking stores that carry those circle punches that are scalloped. I have seen some really awesome cards and layouts using those. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas you give us on your site. Keep up the great work! You are an inspiration!

Blog candy! Woohoo! My most recent acquisitions are backgrounds from CHF. I'm probably slow to get on the bandwagon, but I am SO impressed with how deeply etched these stamps are. They print beautifully. And my favorite, much to my surprise, is the Polka Dot background. I love to use it with pearlescent Brilliance ink - such a nice bit of shimmer on a background.

Anonymous said...

I love my Cuttlebug; I hardly make a card without using it. I never thought I would be interested in die cuts but ooohhh... those embossing folders are my favorites! I use the die cuts too.
Thanks for offering this wonderful blog candy and for constantly updating your blog!

here's what I like to do (much to my pocketbook's dismay) - go online at odd hours of the night and check Stampin' Up auctions on ebay for stuff that's selling super cheap! Just search "stampin up" and "lot" or sometimes I just go to the craft section and put "Lot". I do a "auctions ending soonest" hit and then I can get things dirt cheap (well, not EVERY time, but lots of times). I get big lots of brads, ribbon, stamps, etc. It's kind of fun.

WOW - 50,000 hits! How cool is that? Being the compulsive shopper that I am when it comes to stamping supplies, I now own four types of eyelet setters. My absolute favorite is the CROP-O-DILE. I have hundreds of eyelets that I just have not been inclined to use because of the effort it took. An then - I bought the CROP-O-DILE. What an easy job eyelet setting is now. This handy tool punches the hole, has a measuring guide so you can punch evenly spaced holes for snaps or eyelets and the setting part is so easy! Line the crimping part up and squeeze - takes hardly any effort. Now I'm ready to get rid of my traditional hammer, punch and setter, my Fiskars setters that are spring loaded and my newly purchased, never used, Silent Setter. And I'll be using more eyelets now - who knows - I may run out and have to buy some more!!!! Keep posting - I enjoy your blog!! elaine

Hi Alli!
I gained access to your blog through my friend Corinna's blog, and admire your craftiness, definitely inspirational. I have only started stamping in the past year, but I am addicted to my versamark, embossing powder and my heat tool. I consider them one tool! Almost everything I create has an embossed background, nobody believes that I made it!
Keep up your fantastic work,we're all out here waiting to see your next move! (That's a scary thought isn't it?)
