Hidden Beauty...

Just a quick post...still have to finish those taxes...eeekkk! Today's challenge is based on this sneaker. When I first saw this shoe I was thinking... where am I going to start? And suddenly eyelets, hemp twine and FUN! popped in my head. I just received my AWESOME new Magnolia DP, stamps and supplies from Kristie who has a scrapbooking store called She Runs With Scissors in Campbell River, BC. She sent them to me yesterday, so needless to say I am so excited to play with my goodies this weekend.
Anyhow, back to my card, I simply cut my DP in two, used the corner punch on the two corners, lined up my eyelet hole template, marked the circles and began punching my holes. Next I set my eyelets, pulled the hemp twine through them tightly and VOILA a sneaker like card. As you can see I used my new fav stamp set by Papertrey Ink called Green Thumb (notice I have NOT made a butterfly card this week???) and rock and rolled the stamp from Pumpkin Pie to Rose Red. I think those are all the tricky parts...the rest should be self explanatory...if not, just leave a comment and I will answer your questions.

Hidden Beauty Card Recipe:

Paper: Magnolia DP (My Mind's Eye), Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery
Stamp Set(s): Green Thumb(Papertrey Ink), Pollen Dust (Fancy Pants Designs)
Accessories: Corner Rounder,
Hemp Twine, Vintage Eyelets, Bold Brights Eyelets, Crop-a-dile (We R Memory Keepers) , Key Tag Punch

Note: Rock and Roll Technique

Have a wonderful weekend full of stamping...

Because I love to stamp and you do too!
