Happy birthday to you! Are you going to tell us how old you are? My fav birthday memory was when I was 22...I had to work that night at the restaurant so my friends arranged for a clown to come in with balloons to serenade my with during my shift...so funny especially in front of all my customers who I was serving! Then we had prezzies after work and way too many alcoholic beverages at a local dance club...yeesh! I couldn't behave like that now even if I wanted to! Cheers Alli...from another Alli!

Happy Birthday to a fellow aries. I am not big on parties, so I guess my favorite was a few years back when I was home alone because everyone else had to go to work. I had all my new pressies, stamps given to me before they left for work and a dvd and I spent the day doing whatever I wanted, playing with my stamps, watching movie etc. When the kids and dh came home we went out for dinner.

I think it would have to be when my husband and I think he was probably my fiance at the time, turned up at my work, which was when I worked at the County Council - he turned up at the main reception in a suit holding a silk rose and I had a telephone call to the bureau asking if I would go to their main desk. I turned up and there he was and he had turned up to take me to lunch bless him. I have quite a few when we were going out not so many since we had the kids, boo hoo!!! he he

Happy Birthday to you! My favorite birthday memory would have had to be when I turned 25 and found out that after trying to get pregnant for a few years, I was going to finally be a Mommy! I got the test results back on my birthday and it was the best present I could have asked for with the exception of the following March having my beautiful son placed in my arms.

Happy Birthday! I just celebrated mine the other day. Nothing spectacular just lunch with my DD and dinner out with DH. I guess my favorite one was when I turned 40. My husband and kids sent me flowers with black balloons and a bottle of prune juice attached. My DD wrote a poem about me and attached a picture of me in a bikini (younger me) and sent it to family and friends.....

Happy Birthday and how nice to share the goods on your blessed day.

My memory? I actually remember my 5th birthday party. We had just moved to a new house, friends from the old house came, there weren't enough chairs so I was relegated to my baby sister's high chair and took a lot of teasing about it from my friends. But the table was filled with friends, a lot of noise, great cake.

My mom always made me a lemon chiffon cake from a mix...Betty Crocker. But then the company stopped making that flavor. When I questioned them online, they actually gave me a recipe. How kind was that. So on my birthdays now, I can make my own favorite cake.

My fav memorie would have to be the year my now husband proposed to me on my birthday. Have a happy birthday.

My favorite birthday memory is from my youth when my Nana always made me a birthday cake with 7 minute icing that she would tint a pale shade of pink or blue or green. Every year I had a cake like that and it wasn't from a box. They raised chickens so they had lots of eggs so she would save the whites to make her angel food. She has been gone 20 years now and how I would love to have a taste of her angel food cake. She is making it for the angels now.
Thanks for the memories.

Happy Birthday!! My favorite birthday memory was when I turned 30 my family and friends all threw me a surprise birthday party. It was just before I got married and my DH drove us to the party at a friends house. The only hitch was, we were the first ones to arrive! So the surprise wasn't really :) It was still fun! Hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday! I hope you have a great day! My favorite birthday was when my husband and kids (then 4 and 5 1/2) brought me breakfast in bed - coffee and chocolate biscote mmmm.... Then I got to open presents the kids picked out - Hubby went to KMart and let the kids pick things out. I got a purple feather duster from my daughter and a candle with flowers from my son. Don't you know I had to do some cleaning that afternoon?!?! I still love that feather duster. It's the little unexpected things in life that come from the heart I find to be the most prescious. Have a great burthday : >

Alli,
Happy Birthday to you!
The b-day I remember best was when I was about 11. I was having a party at my house. The night before, my Mom decided to "trim" my hair. It looked so bad, she had to rush me in to the beauty parlor in the morning to fix the haircut. Made it back home on time to have the party. Funny memory now, but at the time it wasn't so funny!

I would say that the best bday for me was when hubby and I went to Disneyworld. I spent my 29th bday having breakfast with Pooh, Eeyore and Tigger! Never forget it!!

My "fondest" birthday memory is my surprise 40th party when my best friend from Houston was here the week before and her husband kept telling me "see you next weekend" and she'd say "no we won't!" over and over again - but being oblivious I didn't pick up on it! It was still a surprise!! And Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday!!!!

My favorite birthday memory was my first year after my divorce - my son was three and was very upset that I wasn't having a birthday party. He insisted on going to the store to buy a birthday cake for me and wanted to buy flowers too. I gave him the money so "he" could buy them for me. He went to the flower display and instead of picking one bouquet - he picked up the entire bucket of flowers!!! After we got home and had cake and put the (one bouquet) of flowers in water he went and got his favorite teddy bear for me as his gift. It was so sweet and I still tear up thinking about it.

Happy Birthday tomorrow Alli! My fav. birthday memory is when I turned 8 - my mom brought out my cake with candles and everything at my party with school friends and it said "Happy 7th Birthday, Amy". Now, you have to understand, that is TOTALLY my mom to be scatterbrained like that. I still like to remind her about it:)

Happy Birthday! My fav birthday memory ... it has to be last year. My hubby took me out to dinner and then once we got home, he waited in the car (or so I thought) to take our sitter home. I walked in the door to a flash in my face! He'd organized a surprise birthday party! It was the most fun I'd ever had.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! - Wow a favorite birthday memory, at my age (51) it's hard to remember at all. LOL
Actually I think one of my favorite birthday memories would have to be when I turned 40. My family had this HUGE sign put in our front lawn with a big buzzard that said, "Look who's 40" and a bunch of black balloons. All day long people would honk as they drove by. It was hilarious & a good fun ribbing was had by all 3 of my brothers and hubby. Ida

My fav was probably my 14th b-day. My sister purposely got married that day so no one would remember MY birthday (we didnt get along back then...but we do now thankfully). My aunt realized what my sis had done to me so she took me home to her house after the wedding. She had a whole weekend planned JUST for me!!!! I still love her to pieces!!!

I really have two faves:
When I turned 25, I was living in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, as a missionary. It was amazing because a small group from my home church (in FL) was visiting me. It was just so special since it was the first time to be so far away from "home."
The other is when I turned 30. My friends are AWESOME -- they threw me a surprise birthday scavenger hunt. It was so cool and took me all over town (St. Augustine) with my hubby to find clues. The end was a party with all my friends and all of my favorite foods. (I MISS THEM -- as I just moved to VA last fall.)

Happy almost Birthday! I love my birthday even if it means getting older. I am 30 and still do a countdown every year. My favorite memory is the Surprise Sweet 16 Party my mom threw for me and I had no idea. My sister would even hand out invitations (little princess ones how cute) in front of me at school and I paid no attention!

My fave bday memory, was in 1997 when I was planning my older half bro's surprise 40th bday party, at the clubhouse at my condo complex, and decorating and getting everything all ready, when they sent me for an errand and I came back and all my friends were there too, it was a combined surprise for us both, mine is aug 19 and I had turned 30 and his was the 6th, so it was right in between. we had a blast. It was funny afterwards tho, since I decorated for my own party!!

Hmmmm, favourite birthday memory.... all of my memories growing up seem to be the same. I have a summer birthday so I would have a party in June before school let out and then a family thing on my actual birthday. I was the smart one in the family... I knew that if we went out for dinner a bunch of people who can't sing would sing me happy birthday and make a spectacle in the restaurant... so I always chose to stay home for BBQ steak... and my cake was always a chocolate cake with chocolate icing and pink writing!

And since it was summer and my parents worked full time, who was there to stop me the day after my birthday when I had cake and ice cream for breakfast??!!

What's my favorite birthday memory? It would have to be my 40th birthday. My husband surprised me & flew my aunt from Georgia to Kansas to see me. I was standing in my kitchen talking to a couple friends and my husband walks in the house in the middle of the day pulling a suitcase behind him, silly me thought he was lacking creativity and he was storing my present in there, I even had little frown on my face. Then behind the suitcase my aunt steps around and shocks me. I instantly started crying...could not believe she was here. All my family says that I can never say another mean word about my husband, for him to call her, basically a stranger and set it up....amazing!! I love them both!!

One of my favorite birthday memories is when I was quite young. We lived on Lake Erie and there was a small secluded beach area down the street from us. That day my Dad took me down to the beach. The rest of my sisters had to stay home. We had a few hours of playing in the water and in the sand. My dad got this big long stick and wrote "I love Dawn" in very large letters in the sand. Wow...what a great memory!

Happy Birthday! My sister's is tomorrow April 4 and mine is Sat April 7. The one that sticks out the most is when my husband and I had to go to a farrier (person who shods horses) clinic in WI and it was my birthday. BTW- We make horseshoes and farrier tools. One "older" gentleman that was there told me that he lost his knife under some shelves. While I (Being a nice person) dug around on my hands in knees in a dirt covered floor looked for it, He was off doing something else. After about 5 mins, I just about had it. I stood up, turned around and said "Don! Are you sure you dropped it?" Only to find the entire clinic (20+ mostly strangers) standing there, a birthday cake (Lit candles) and they all sang to me. I was as red as the shirt I was wearing. He still gets a kick out of this story every year when we see him at conventions!

My favorite birthday memory has to be when I turned 11! 10 Speed bikes were fairly new to the general population (not just to racers) and I had been begging for a 10 speed for months. Earlier in the day, my mom had taken me to a hair salon called, "Isadore" which was very fashionable at the time, where I got a Dorothy Hamel haircut! She made my favorite dinner--homemade spaghetti and meatballs and then my friends came over for cake and ice cream and a sleep over. Even though it had been a great day, I remembered thinking I was a little dispappointed that I hadn't gotten a bike. A few minutes later, my dad said, "lets go outside and do sparklers"--my b-day is near the 4th of July. When we went out, there was my brand new 10 speed--a Bicentenial version from Huffy!! It was the one I had been begging for--white bike with red, blue and gold accents and an eagle on the seat! I know I am dating myself and I have had lots of great birthdays since but that is my favorite memory. Alli, here's hoping you had a wonderful day!

kay i'll stop singing, the wishes are there. I've been reading your blog for the last week, and am loving all your creativity. It's great inspiration.
My most memorable bday is the 18th...not for the obvious reason of being legal in the bar, but for what happened on my first "official" visit. I had a bottle of beer, and a friend tapped the top with a Cheers, and i quickly lifted the bottle to my lips, to stop it from foaming over. I ended up at the ER getting 46 stitches in my upper/lower lips. the top of the bottle was missing! I can laugh now, and am thankful that i now have a beautiful set of FULL lips to apply lipstick to, that i didn't have before.
Have a great BDAY!
