Introducing Holiday Spirit Sentiments

Welcome to the official start to the September countdown!! I am always thrilled to be able to give you some sneak peaks before the unveiling of a new stamp set.  The winter holiday season is quickly approaching.  I know some of you are probably saying "Hey Alli, slow down now..." but as you are well aware there is Halloween and Christmas paraphernalia on the shelves at the big box stores already!!  I always feel like it gets earlier and earlier.  Well I don't know about you but I actually start my Christmas cards in January so new winter themed stamps sets in September are just perfect for me :)

The newest release from the Urban Design collection is called  Holiday Spirit Sentiments.  It is a collection of warm and cozy sentiments you can use for all of your holiday creations.  I can hardly wait to show you some of mine.  It will be available through Papertrey Ink on Sept 15th, 2010.

I am happy to share a quick and easy combination you can give your neighbour, postal worker, co-worker or friend!  I love giving candles to people and even better I love decoration candles and creating a matching card to coordinate with it.

I used a technique called one sheet wonder where I did some repeat stamping on a single sheet of paper using two different colours of ink.  Next I cut various strips and pieces and crafted them into two separate projects.  I am really pleased with how they turned out.

You can see what a lovely set this will be by today's project. I love that you shared something outside of a card with us. I have a friend who loves to receive candles so you're starting my ideas going there!
