Neighbours.

Wow, it's been a week since I last posted!  As you know I was away for most of last week at a homeschool convention picking next year's curriculum for my son and familiarizing myself with the latest and greatest teaching tools.  I can't wait to start planning everything and teaching all these fab new lessons.

Our neighborhood is growing (new houses are being built) and a family that moved in last November who was renting to own finally bought the house.  I thought it would be wonderful gift to bring them some baked goods and a card to welcome them to the neighbourhood.  I am not sure about you, but our neighbours are very important to us.  We like to get to know the people who surround us and often form friendships with them. We have already had many of the neighbours over for supper--those are our favourite events!!  In fact, we are hoping to host a neighbourhood BBQ in the middle of the summer too.  Our neighbours range in ages and knowledge.  It's always fun to learn new things from them and to teach our children that people in our community are important too.  After all it takes a community to raise a child and why not instill these morals and values in our children now.

Oh, I love it. The panels, the textures, the soft colors. Great card! We have good relationships with our neighbors, too. It's great to have that kind of neighborhood.

OMG! I love, love, love this card! I love the color combination. I love the way you've used many different patterns but they all work so very well together (I'm not very good at that yet), and I love the overall design of the card. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I love this!! Love it. Your mixture of patterns is amazing. It is where I have the most trouble and you have done it masterfully. I need to come and just sit here at your feet and learn.
