Wise Owl (2)

I have been enjoying coming up with projects that you can recreate. Today I have 3 projects for you to feast your eyes on.

Project #1
(Home Decor)

What you will need: bottles, stazon ink
Note: I purchased these bottles from Ikea for .25 cents each!--Search for unique bottles at the $ store, big box stores, thrifts stores.

I began by inking my stamp in Cotton White StazOn and then stamped it over the surface. Heat set with a heat tool.

Here is a close up of the bottle. Did you notice that flower? Can you imagine 70s owl eyes with that??? Do you recognize that flower from a previous set made by Nichole?

Project #2 (Home Decor)

What you will need: candle holders, StazOn ink, heat tool
Note: I purchased these candle holders from Ikea.

I began by inking my stamp in Cotton White StazOn and then rolled it over the rounded surface. Tip: If you make a mistake you can quickly wipe it off most surface. You can also try removing a "mistake" using a sanding block on certain surfaces too. Make sure you heat it to set it with the heat tool.

I just LOVE adding a special touch to my home decor. This project was completed in less than 3 minutes.

Project #3 (Gift)

What you will need: hair clips, polyshrink, stazon, sharpie markers, hot glue gun/glue sticks

I will begin with the owl hair clips. I started this project by stamping my owl with Timber Brown on white polyshrink.

Next, I coloured my images with my sharpie markers. Please note: you have to stay in the lines if you are using sharpie markers with StazOn because the sharpie pens can remove the StazOn ink. I believe it has to do with the makeup of both products. They don't mesh too well. That being said, I have had a lot of luck making all sorts of charms using these products together as long as I am colouring carefully *lol* You'll note that colouring on plastic doesn't produce a perfect look but once the item is smaller it is very hard to tell.

Then I cut out my owl leaving a small white outline around my owl.

Then I prepared my glue gun and dabbed a little hot glue under my owl and attached it to the hairclip. Make sure you do this fairly quickly as the glue dries in a flash.

Here is how they turned out! My daughter already has them in her hair.

Supplies

Stamps:
-Wise Owl (Urban Design) by PTI

Ink:
-White StazOn
-Timber Brown StazOn

Accessories
-Polyshrink (Shrinky Dink)
-Bottles
-Jars
-Hair Clips

Tools
-Glue gun

-Sharpie Pens

Have a wonderful day!

I can't WAAAAAIIIIIT for this owl set! I just LOVE that it's so customizable! All the owls sets I've been tempted to buy, I always wanted to "put those eyes on THAT owl" and "those feet should be with THAT guy", etc. So this set speaks to me in many ways! Thanks!
