It's Backgrounder Release Day!

I {heart} backgrounder release day. I have become a backgrounder addict. There are so many possibilities with backgrounders: home decor, additions to your scrapbook page, card decorations...WAY to much fun.

Today's backgrounder release includes: AlphaNumber (which I previewed for you yesterday) and Hexagon Tiles.

I had two ideas about showcasing Hexagon Tiles. I find geometric images are really easy for me to use...perhaps it's all about the mathematical precision of the shapes. Wow...I am starting to sound like my math genius son *lol*.

With Father's Day approaching, I wanted to create a PLAIN design for my husband. He doesn't appreciate ribbon and foo foo stuff all over his cards and homemade items. This presents more of a challenge for me because I think that those additions "finish" off a project.
So for today, I am going to show you a plain jane project you can make in under 5 minutes. I picked up this picture frame for $2 on clearance.

I began by inking my backgrounder and then placing it over the area in question. I used post it notes to ensure that the ink did not run over the other wooden areas. Note: I created this with an unmounted stamp and rounded it HOWEVER you could use a wooden block backgrounder and "roll" the frame over the inked stamp. All this needs is a little tag for dad and VOILA...fini!

Both of these are awesome products. The frame looks finished without the foofoo (although I am a big fan of the foofoo, when appropriate, and know exactly what you mean when you say it "finishes" a project)! The backgrounder gives such a fresh look to the Nature's Silhouette set! I see a BIG CHF order in my near future!!!!
