CHF Challenge Chicks

Today's CHF challenge was a designer style challenge. Our assignment was to pick one member of the design team and either case 1) something from their gallery OR 2) their style. One thing was for sure I was NOT going to be responsible for choosing a person to case...have you SEEN the CHF DT work????
I drew my DT case randomly and came up with Julie Campbell. Let me begin by saying I have had the pleasure of getting to know Julie through former DT placements, through CHF and at CHA. Julie is one of the sweetest people I know. We have had numerous phone chats and of course got to exchange hugs at CHA. When I drew Julie's name I knew I was in for it! Julie's style is fresh, sassy and edgy! I LOVE it. I had a good look through her CHF gallery and her blog.

I decided to case both Julie's style and a card. I really liked the paper piecing and simplicity of THIS card. Upon browsing through Julie's gallery, I noticed her use of red, black, and twill (not to mention staples)...and as such I was determined to use these elements in my card today.
