Some Questions and Answers

I spent 4 hours in a staff meeting yesterday and 4 hours traveling...I am soooooooo ready to just stay home for the next few weeks. Once I got home (we left at 7AM and got back at 6PM) I tackled the daily grind and then my stamp room. Since my trip back from CHA, that room is not my favourite place--it is in a state of chaos. I have been purging and reorganizing. As a result I did not stamp anything today. I have lots more photos to share with you (including some projects I made with NEW product) at CHA. I will share them with you later today.

Q
I love the cut-out letters (DREW)! Do you know if they used stamps for the shapes? I've been wanting to do this for a friend of mine who just had a baby and I can't figure out the best method. any suggestions?? Erin

A
Hi Erin,
The letters have been covered with patterned paper. I always start off projects like the one you are explaining by figuring out the colour theme of the room in addition to the general theme. If there is no theme ask your friend if she has a preference. I would definitely add stamping to the project if you do not plan to use patterned paper. And depending on your own supplies, I would hot glue buttons and other fun embellishments to the letter. Keep in mind that you don’t want to add embellishments that can fall off easily because a button could potentially be harmful if it fell off the letters and onto the floor. My daughter has a shelf where I can put special things like that. I hope that helps.

Q
Wow! They are all fantastic. Are you going to give details on how-to-do...please say yes? My favorite is the decorated frame. You are an extremely talented lady. Thanks for the great work.

Hi Heather,
I don’t have details for all of these great projects but I can do my best to explain whichever ones interest you. Let me know.

Q
These are all cool - but would love to know more about the 'bridesmaid' one = can you tell what material (clear/acrylic) was used to create this frame? Thanks!(Wendy)

A
Wendy, you are in luck! I attended this class and it was by Prima. Prima has FANTASTIC new clear albums coming out that you can mix and match items. I was so pleased that you could purchase these items separately to build an album of your choice. Aren’t those heart tabs adorable? I addition to the pages, you will be happy to learn that gelly pens can be used to doodle on the pages too…as well as your soufflĂ© pens oh and don’t forget your pearls and stickles!!! I will take some photos of my project (the one we created in class) and share them with you in the next day or two.

Have a terrific day.

Alli

P.S. A very happy b-day to my SIL Teresa!!! Hugs.
