Today's card (mum's card) came together from a ribbon scrap (new from Prima!) and a 1/2 made card. Just under a year ago I was visiting my MILs house and sewed 8 card fronts with 2 different batches of patterned paper. Most of those card fronts have not seen the day of light ever since.
On a side note, the only way I was able to sew this card was through my MIL who set up the sewing machine on the stitch I needed; I just "drove". Gina K's tutorials are going to help me get started with my new sewing machine. I am so grateful she keeps sharing tidbits because I am going to need all the help I can get *lol* Speaking of sewing machines...Gina K revealed she added TWO to her basket the other day...so make sure you stop by her blog in the next little while because she will be giving away ANOTHER Janome!

Is that ribbon from your CHA dumpster dive too? LOL. This is a really great card. If those sewed card bases all look this good...PULL THEM OUT AND USE THEM.

Great card Ali. That's a great idea to pre sew some card fronts. I never want to drag out the sewing machine so when I do next time I think I'll do the same thing! Love to your mom!
