2008...what's to come...

As I have mentioned to you previously, this is a time of change for my family and I and we are ready to embrace it. On December 28th we met with the pediatrician again--For those of you who don't know he has been diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder. There is a good news on the horizon, we will have the diagnosis on paper this year (January) which means we can finally move forward.
This could mean a lot of things including a possible move to an area that provides additional services. Since we were expecting to be here another 16 months that really makes me nervous *lol* I am sure it will all be fine.

In addition to that change, I have stepped down from the Paper Pretties design team. I will truly miss Christie Ortman and the Prettie Girls. Make sure you stay tuned to all the fun Christie has in store for you this year. I look forward to meeting the Prettie Girls at CHA as well as keep in touch with them too! *BIG WAVES* I miss you!!!!!

I will also be stepping down from SU! some time in the new year. After working as a demonstrator for 4 years that makes me both happy and sad. Happy because there are new things on the go, sad because I will truly miss my SU! friends as well as the nature of what brought me into this industry in the first place--okay so maybe not completely (I started scrapbooking when my son was born and moved into stamping thereafter).

So what does this mean to you? Well perhaps not too much. I plan to continue designing with all of my stamps on hand, including some of my SU! stamps.
I also plan to change my blog a little, with more predictable daily events--tutorials, tips, challenges etc. I wanted to do that last year but after starting my blog (January 2007) I found it enough just to keep up with daily posts. Now that I have a year under my belt I am feeling more confident to tackle new things too.

There is more on the horizon...I look forward to sharing the excitement with you in the coming months.

All the best to you and your family in 2008.

Because I love to stamp and you do too!
Alli

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time of change (even possitive change can be stressful.) Having one daughter with ADD another one with "developemental delays"(she is still too young to be diagnosed officially but she is extremely hyperactive and has NO impulse control), I can empathize with what you are going through. Wishing you a blessed 2008 and I can't wait to see what your blog has to share- it is such an inspiration to me and my crafting!

Happy New Year Alli! Congratulations on some moves that were obviously important to you-it sounds like you are getting your life a bit more order, and that's such a good thing! I should be right there beside you doing the very same thing, LOL. Take it one day at a time, and you'll be fine!

Hugs,
Amy

Alli -- Big hugs and a happy 2008 to you and yours. You have a lot of changes going on right now, and I wish you strength and courage. I hope you find a refuge in your stamping as I do in mine. I know what a huge relief it can be to get a diagnosis for your child -- when we finally got one for Carter when he was 15 months (he has CP), it was truly a new beginning for us. We knew for sure what we were working with instead of fearing what might be. You will discover your own 'normal' (and EVERYONE's 'normal' is different, so what the heck is 'normal' in the first place?!) -- and it will be wonderful, even if it's not what you planned. And when you think about it, when is life EVER just like we planned?! If you ever need to chat with someone who knows a bit about what you're going through, I'm just a mouse-click away.
