Please send me your snail mail so that I can get your stamps in the mail tomorrow!
Now on to today's giveaway!
Sheer frames seem to big a HOT item these days. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to share one with you.
As you know 2007 has seen a shift in stamps...stamps are being increasingly used in scrapbooking as well as interior decorating. In addition, there has been a huge increase in stamping companies as well as the creation of clear stamps. There was a time (once upon a time...) where the thought of clear stamps made me cringe. I was a hardy SU! follower and couldn't imagine the use of clear stamps. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my wood mounted stamps and my red rubber, but I also see the benefit of using clear stamps too. In order to enter today's draw, please answer the following question: Are you an acrylic stamper or a wood mounted stamper? I am sure you could be both too but which one is your preference?
Have a super day!
Because I love to stamp and you do too!
Alli

Before this year, I had NEVER used an acrylic stamp before. I was a Stampin' Up exclusive stamper. But now... I almost never use wood mounted stamps. I love the clear acrylics or the cling foam rubber. It's so much easier to position and saves so much storage room! I have to say that I'm glad I found out that there were other companies out there!

I started out as a rubber stamper, but now I'm converting to the acrylic stamps. Some day I will have to take them off of the wood block.

I am a SU girl, so I will have to say rubber with wood, but I have a few Papertrey stamps and Nicole if anyone could bring me over the the unmounted side, it would be her.
It's a good life!

My wood mounted red rubber is still my favorite ... but I know the world is moving to unmounted acrylic. For some reason I have trouble remembering my inventory of acrylic ... I like opening my drawers and seeing all of my wood stamps when I create.

I've been leaning toward the clear or rubber unmounted - with the new SU stamps I've purchased this past year, I've been leaving them unmounted and storing in CD cases; haven't gone so far as unmounting old stamps as a friend did.

I have more wood mounted stamps. Just this year I have bought some clear stamps. You have to get use to them, but I like that you can see where you are stamping. But it's hard to go totally that way...One reason is I don't see SU doing it.
Thanks for a chance.

Yep, like most of the other comments, I always used wood mounted stamps, but now I hardly ever do. I just LOVE the acrylic stamps!

I am truely a wood mounted stamper - I love the feel and convience of pick it up and go - but since UM is often 1/2 the cost I am buying mostly UM these days and only have about 4 sets that are clear - and there are advantages like smaller storage space and more control to see where you are stamping especially with the clears....

Before this year I only bought SU stamps. I had a few off brand wood stamps that people had given me. Then I saw the monogram sets from CTMH and had to have them all. Didn't care that they were clear. Now I prefer the clear stamps.

Although I do own and love some clear acrylic stamps and some unmounted rubber stamps, I am a rubber on wood mounting girl! While unmounted stamps hold the benefit of easy storage solutions, you do have to mount them each time you use them and I am very picky about how the stamps are mounted. Okay, I must confess- I use the SAMJ with clear acrylics, also- can you say detail oriented!

SU began my addiction to stamping. I love their product!!! However, I must say, I really like the new clear acrylic stamps! I have a few, haven't had them very long, so I don't yet know how well they will stand up - but I love that you can not only see where you are placing them, but also if you got even and full ink coverage - before you stamp!!!! LOL!!!!

Well, I do believe that clear stamps are ahead at the moment, but wood mounted seemed to be making a comeback with me. Check with me again next month!

I am totally into clear stamps. Easy storage, easy usage. My first set of stamps was a clear stamp set (that's the only kinds I get a lot in India, wood mounted is a rarity)
Totally an acrylic loving gal!

Hi Alli,
While I have much wood-mounted red rubber, I am really converting to clear acrylic stamps. I really find them so much easier to use. Now, when I use a rubber stamp that's not clear, I find myself wishing it was available clear, because I enjoy stamping with them even more than before! And I already love stamping (like you!) and can't believe that now I love it more!! - December 16, 2007 at 10:58 PM

i love them both, but love the ease of seeing where exactly you are stamping with the clear ones

I prefer the red rubber wood mounted ones. Perhaps I haven't found good quality ones yet. They don't seem to hold the ink properly. The ink seems to spread on them and not print very nice. For that reason, I am having trouble converting. Anyone have any tips? WRite me! parrotscribe@yahoo.com!
thanks,

Sorry...I am both! It depends what I am doing which I prefer. I do feel that you get better, thiner lines from rubber, but I love the clear acrylic for being able to see where I'm stamping. However, I am totally unmounted because I had to unmount all my stamps to bring them to Europe with me when we moved, and at times I do miss my wood.

Well the truth is that I am a wood mount stamper because I don't know any better. *wink* I do not currently have any of the clear stamps but have been eyeballing them at the stores lately and trying to decide if I want to "branch out" so to speak. Now I am getting more and more curious.

Well the quality of clear stamps has greatly improved over the years and they are more economical also. I have to admit that I do have quite a collection of clear sets but I guess I still prefer the wood mounted stamps. I find myself reaching for them more than any other kind of stamp.

I use them both and I love them both. I'm finding that I prefer the acrylic stamps for sentiments because I can get them on my cards exactly where I want them, whereas with wood it's always a slight guessing game.

SU began my addiction to stamping too , and I love the rubber stamps, I do have some acrylic and i like the fact you can see what you are doing, but I m having a hard time with keeping the stamp on the block....Soooo this is why i like my wood blocks. Judy Rozema

Six months ago I would've said wood-mounted, but now I say clear! It is great to see where you are going to stamp! The only down side is the ink you have to use to get clear stamped images.

I really like my wood mounted stamps, and most of my favorite companies still do just wood mounted, so that really works for me. But just this year I have tried acrylic stamps. There are things that I like and don't like about them, so the jury is still out on those.

I own more wood mounted stamps but have slowly come around to the clears. Now, no matter how much I like a stamp, I won't buy it if it doesn't come in clear!
Clear acrylics are super-easy to use, store, and modify. I love being able to place my images exactly where I want 'em.
My one complaint about clear stamps is that I can't clean 'em like I can red rubber. I'm a fanatic about clean stamps and I'm having trouble adjusting to stained stamps. I'm sure other obssesive stampers have the same complaint.
Oh, and I've had to relearn how to clean these babies ... the old scrub & rub with a strong cleaner and a baby-wipe just doesn't work ... and can actually hurt 'em; this I found out the hard way, LOL! - December 17, 2007 at 7:48 AM

Well I am almost done unmounting my 100+ plus SU sets. I think I am done with wood mounted but still don't mind the red rubber. BUT - have slowly starting to buy clear stamps only. Just can't beat how much easier they are to use and position! Thanks!!

I have been using wood mounted red rubber stamps for 16 years and definitely have accumulated alot of stamps... i tried acrylix about 3 years ago and didn't really get a fall in love feeling from them. this past year, i bit the bullet and purchased a couple papertrey sets and must admit, i'm rather enjoying them. I guess i like both ;)

I, too, was a devoted SU wood-mounted stamper until BasicGrey came out with their clear Christmas stamps. I figured that since their paper was so wonderful that their stamps had to be great, too. I love them and have since added to my clear stamp collection.

I love all stamps as long as they don't smear and the image is one I like. I would have told you wood up until a couple months ago when I tried the acrylic. Now that I'm used to them, I love them as much as the rubber.

I love my wood mounted red rubber! The images are clear, easy clean up, already mounted. The acrylic image is not as clear and after a few uses, the acrylic doesn't stick very well to the block. Cleaning still eludes me on these too! So, yep, I love my reds! -Melinda

I want to say 'both' but I'll stick with wood mounted as that's what 98% of my stamps are!
These frames are adorable! Happy stampin! oops I mean holidays!

Although I have some clear acrylic stamps, I really love the wood mounted better. I think they're more comfortable to hold and I don't like having to remount every time I pick up a stamp.

Wood mounted stamper! I do use acrylic but it is easier to use the wood mounted...in my eyes it is!
Thanks for the chance to win!

I am a die hard clear stamp fan! The best part is the control they give me to create exactly the image I want by proper placement and the ability t bend or stretch them for fit phrases and images where I want them! I love the whimsical images and sentiments of SU stamps and hope they will soon convert to acryllics! There is a frustrating lack of humor and whimsy in current acryllic offerings!

Once I found Papertrey and the bellas, I found a whole new world of creativity. They led me to MFT, etc. I love acrylic stamps and I'm finding them easier to use than rubber. I still love my SU stamps and part of that is the friendships formed as a result and the awesome coordinating sets, colors, accessories. SU got me started and I love their products too. (I'm not sure I answered the question.) I sound like a politician!

Hi there. We're staying home. Haven't been home for the holidays in 4 years.
I'd love to have this baby stamp. Don't have any baby ones yet.
