It's my first Kinkade!

I have been looking forward to playing with my 'Make a Wish Cottage Vignette", Thomas Kinkade Series since I received it last month. The only problem was I didn't know where to begin! Of course with a little digging I found that CHF has THE BEST tutorial on attacking this beautiful piece of etched rubbah (thanks Asela)! Not only that, there are some drool worthy artists who have done a phenomenal job with ALL of these beautiful Kinkade stamps in the Design Team Thomas Kinkade Gallery
I love that CHF has designed a Thomas Kinkade Series forum where people can chat, ask questions and progressively work through beginners, intermediate and advanced techniques.
I also did a quick scan on SCS and there some wonderful Thomas Kinkade ideas to help you get started too.

Close up of my colouring...(be nice...it's my first time with a detailed image *wink*)

Recipe
Paper: Kraft (SU!), Chocolate Chip (SU!), Old Olive (SU!), Whisper White (SU!), Journey DP (CosmoCricket)
Ink: Timber Brown StazOn, Chocolate Chip (SU!)
Stamp Set(s): Make a Wish Cottage Vignette Thomas Kinkade Series (CHF), Borders and Corners (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch (SU!), Circle Punch (SU!), Scalloped Circle (Marvy), Grey Tafetta Ribbon (SU!), Copics, Prismacolour Crayons, Gamsol, White Gel Pen (Uni-ball)

EDITED: I added a close up of the Kinkade image so you can scrutinize my work *smiles*

Because I love to stamp and you do too!
Alli

You did a beautiful job with that image. I have been a little reluctant to purchase from this series because I was afraid I couldn't do them justice. Thanks for letting me know about the forum!

Oh My Ali, that is so beautiful! I just won some stamped images as blog candy. Oh am I ever intimidated! I have admired these from afar for a long time! What do you suggest? I don't have copics or prismacolor pencils or gamsol. I have SU stuff. Can it be done using the watercolor pencils do you think? You have done a fabulous job! I'm going to check out your links.....:)
Have a wonderful weekend!
