75000+ and Blog candy

It's BLOG CANDY TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What you will receive:
  • 3 packages of clear stamps
  • A clear block
  • 4 Primas
  • Fun flock (apple)
  • Dotted ribbon
  • Bazzill chipboard
  • Fantastix coloring tool
  • Assortment of Marvy punch outs
I can still hardly believe I reached the 75000 mark! Seriously, how did that happen? To celebrate I am going to share some long awaited blog candy with you.
I am sure by now many of you have either received a new SU! catalogue or have viewed it online (Canadian Link). Every year I spend hours devouring the pages and savoring the designs, products, new stamps sets as well as creating my master WISH LIST. I am sure you can relate, especially if you are a die hard SU! fan. I have to admit, after 3.5 years of being a demo, this is by far my favourite catalogue and layout and of course who isn't excited that it is going to change again in 6 months?! I think SU! is moving in the right direction...keeping up with trends. So now you are probably asking, what does this have to do with a blog candy post. Well the answer is simple. In order to get your name in the draw for this blog candy you have to answer the following questions:

What (a) stamp designs and (b) product did you feel were missing from the catalogue?
(a) As a "Canuck" I was sad to see there were still NO Canadian themed stamp sets like the O Canada stamp set that was retired a few years back. I am really hoping to see them in the next catalogue. (b) As for product, I was so sad they retired Pearl Ex and added nothing to replace it. Twinkling H2Os would have been a good substitute IMHO.

Of course I would never want to exclude anyone from the draw, so if you have not seen a SU! catty and/or perhaps you are not a SU! fan you can still enter...just tell me what kind of (a) stamps/stamp themes and (b) products that you would like to see from your fav rubber stamp company or the general papercraft industry.

It's no wonder the papercraft industry is booming...I am glad that companies like SU! listen to their customers and change accordingly. Now if I could only grow a money tree to buy all the things on my wishlist *lol*

Thanks again for dropping by. I will be using the random generator again to choose a number. The draw for the goodies will be announced Saturday morning so you have until Friday, July 13th, 2007 to enter. Good luck *wink*. My next blog candy will be at the 100000 mark.

As this post will be post-dated, please check below for new posts.

Because I love to stamp and you do too!

Hi Alli! Hope you're enjoying this great weather that we're having and prepare for the heat wave next week! Congrats on 75000+ hits! Candy looks yummy as always! What I was hoping for were more kid's and baby themed stamps that I could implement into my scrap club. There are a few new ones but not a lot. I was also really shocked at the price increase on the scrap kits. I know prices need to increase but almost 10 bucks is steep. Anyway, thanks for letting us fans of yours play for goodies!

I was really hoping for more 2-step stampin' sets, and I'm still actually sad about the window sheets being retired. I'm like you with the pearl-ex too! I had just tried some new techniques. :)

You've got a great blog - and I love visiting! You're such an inspiration!

I have to say I was really sad the pearlex had to go. I too was hoping to see something in it's place.I was hoping to see a liitle more variety other than flowers and doodles. Don't get me wrong I love those too and still have a loooong list, but wanted more variety to chose from.
I love your blog, Congrats on the hits.

I really would love a karate stamp set - suitable for teens not little kids. I do love the ribbons and the scrap kits are to die for!

Hey Alli,
Love to check in on your blog you are so good at updating. Thanks for the great ideas.. Congrats on so many hits. I know I have defently contributed and will still do so.

I felt that we needed more masculine stamp sets I don't care for the new fishing one the guy is missing his face. Even the fish have eyes.. I was shocked to see such a jump in price for the scrapin'kits my scrapbook club is going to flip out.. I do love the new kits how ever.. great colors much needed change on some kits.

Good luck in all you do.

I was hoping for a new floral set to replace Petal Prints...nothing in the new catalog seems quite classic enough. I was also hoping for more food themed stamps ... we've lost coffee, chocolate, and assorted sweets sets with nothing to replace them! I was also hoping for some alcohol inks ... ink refills and refillable markers would be awesome!

Congrats on hitting 75K! Amazing and so well-deserved. Thanks for sharing so much great inspiration! The blog candy looks wonderful, thanks!

Amy said...

Congrats Alli! Wow, you are rockin' with now with 75,000! Woo-hoo. It's not a surprise, you do such great work. In my humble opinion, I think they need more good floral stamps. I wasn't impressed with what they had in this catalog as far as flowers go. Hopefully the spring/summer catalog will have better stuff!

Hi Alli, congrats on such a great milestone! That's awesome!!

Stamps is a hard one...because I love them all. I guess one I'd like to have though is a travel one like they have had in the past...or perhaps a set of famous European sites to celebrate entering Europe soon!

And for accessory, I was REALLY hoping we'd be able to order brads in the colors matching the HPH sets in individual packages. Oh well...I can continue to hope!

Thanks for offering up such fun candy!

Wow 75,000 hits, Congrats! Great sweet blog candy you are celebrating with your readers. I was hoping for more humor birthday themes. Since the prices went up, I thought that the hostess amounts would have went up also. Thanks for a chance.

Wow, 75,000 hits...and I got excited when I got 1,000 hits. :-) I am loving the new SU catty as well, and think its great that SU is definitely embracing scrapbooking more than in the past. However, as a military wife and teacher, it kills me to see nothing really patriotic, and only one teacher set. Boo hoo! Oh well, I'm sure I can figure out a way to spend money elsewhere in the catalog!! :-)

75000 Congrats!!

I have to agree that more Canadian themed or nature Canadian themed sets were not included. For example

-Beavers
-Move Realistic Moose
-Geese
-Maple Tree

I don't think anything is missing...glad to see some changes! I love the new catalogue and can't wait to have my first SU! party on the July 29th! Want to earn some hostess stuff! Love your blog!

Hi Alli!

I LOVE your blog - and the fact that it's Canadian, too! :)

I would have to agree with you - I would love to see a Canadian set in the catalogue. Some of the other things I was hoping for:
- Tsukineko (?) Blue Pad
- more scalloped punches
- more storage stuff
- more wedding stamps - I know that there will probably be more in the Spring/Summer catty, but I want to get a headstart on my invites now! :)

I could list SO many more items, but I don't want to take up too much space! Thanks Alli! Congrats on reaching 750 000!

Melissa said...

Sorry - that should have been "glue" pad, not "blue' pad - guess I'm still not awake yet! :)

Cat said...

Alli - I know EXACTLY how you feel. I haven't added up the $$ on my wish list yet, and I know it will get bigger when I see all the cool uploads on SCS :)

Honestly, I didn't miss anything from this catalog! TFS.

Congratulations on the accomplishment of 75,000+ hits. That is quite exciting. I do not buy SU nor have I seen the latest catalog. I think that I would like to see stamps that are for "Illness"...funny sayings to brighten someone's day. There are just a few online but not that many. It seems to be a subject no one wants to deal with.

Anonymous said...

Love your blog! Amazing number of hits to reach. CONGRATS!
I feel this new catty had 2 main styles to it, either elegant such as Baroque Motifs and such or whimsical such as stick figures.. I miss the everyday style stamps, the patriotic themes. I am sad to see the PEarl ex go, I was shocked over that one! Glad I have BIG bottles left!
I would have liked to see more "manly man" ( lol) sets to choose from as well.. Kimmiek

Angel said...

Well, I was hoping to see markers to match the "in-colors", I was sad to see the big price hike in Scrappin kits and I would like to see more military and patriotic stamps. But overall- great catty!

Kim Forsyth said...

Alli,
I am with a few others on the flower thing, would have loved to see more flower sets! I do however LOVE that they added a new gray and it is waterproof!!!

Well I am in Australia, so we have a different catty, a bit sad that we don't get the full deal like you do... also a bit sad that pretty much most of the christmas stamps are wintery... there is one Aussie type christmas set in our catalogue. Would like to see more non wintery ones.

i was hoping for a cute dinosaur set...i have been wanting one for a while to scrapbook with because my son loves dinosaurs, but still, no luck!
and i will definitely miss the 1/4 chocolate grosgrain ribbon...who retires such a thing??

Wow what set would I have loved to see, that is hard, really don't have something that I could think of. As for an item how about Glue pad, that would be great.

Oops, sorry forgot to say Congratulations, was too busy trying to think of a stamp set.

Great candy Alli! I too think this is the best SU catalog yet - they did a great job in organizing it and adding great sets, however, I wish they would add more children's themed stamps - perhaps school-ish (I know there is one with scissors, etc.). I am overall happy though, what they don't have I fill in myself with Bellas, PTI, MFT, etc! :) Thanks for the chance to win!

Pegg S said...

Congratulations on 75K! It has been fun visiting your site and seeing all your cards and seeing how you have really developed and found your stamping voice :)

I just got back from vacation so have only been able to view the catalog online once. I can't wait for a real-life copy from my demo. However, I was disappointed to see that there weren't that many new detailed stamps like Still Life Stems or Woodland Cottage -those types. Also, there are fewer and fewer 2 step stamping type images. I do like modern style too, so I'm ok.

In terms of products that are missing--- I think they need more scallop punches and more shapes/sizes of brads and eyelets.

Anonymous said...

Hi Alli! First I have to say I LOVE your stuff!! And I agree with you I would have liked to see a little Canadian stuff in the catty I also miss alittle more 'religious" christmas stamps,Also the price increase of alot of the stamps does make me question if I will order as amny as I had planned. With shipping and handling charges so steep than the prices went up??? I will not be as quick to order.....Judy

Katie Skiff said...

I am very happy with the sets, I hope that there is different ones in the spring catty so I realize there can't be everything in this one.

I also just learned more about Pearl Ex so I am sad that's gone.

Congrats on all the hits....I love to check out your work!!

Adelina said...

congrats on the milestone! I check your blog daily.

I don't know much about SU!, but I'm a huge Papertrey Ink fan. I think Nicole is doing a great job. I would like to see some masculine stamps.

Anonymous said...

Congratulations on 75K hits!! It's no surprise -- you're a terrific artist and blogger! As far as new stamp sets go, I would have liked to see a new coffee/hot beverage set. I thought Like it a Latte would have made it, especially since SU retired Espressoly for You. With this being a fall/winter collection, I was surprised there was nothing to replace it!

Jenny Hill said...

Hi Alli,

I enjoy checking out your blog - great looking candy!

Missing from the catty - I would have liked to see more food stamps, but the biggest thing I think is missing is accurate pricing - if you compare the Canadian prices to an American catty, based on the current exchange rate, we are being robbed.

Hi! I would love to see a really cute wedding set, all wedding and only wedding! :) And I always like to see more ribbon. :) Love the new stuff, though! Thanks!

Hi Alli,

Love your blog! Like many others, I find that there is a lack of flower sets that are realistic looking. I just discovered petal Prints and Roses in Winter and would have loved to have seen something along those lines to demo. I would also love to have seen the designer papers come in a smaller quantity, like the 6x6 pad the Palette of Prints came in. I find that as a cardmaker I just can't get through a big package of 12x12 pages.
Thanks for letting me play!

Congrats on the much deserved milestone. I so enjoy your blog! Thanks for offering such yummy candy. I, too, loved the new catty. I guess I would have liked to see some more specific pre-teen girl sets to replace Girlfriends, Totally Cool etc. but the new florals and doodles will work great for that. I do miss the Pearl Ex and was hoping they would replace it with something similar.

Congrats on 75000+ hits! I just happened to find you right about 75100 LOL through another blog and boy and I happy I did. I can't wait to see more of your crafts and become a regular reader.

I have only seen the SU catalog online but from what I saw...I was missing more masculine sets that weren't so stereotypical like fishing or golf.

I will miss the chipboard mini books. They made such great easy gifts and at such a great price! I can't believe they were retired.

Thanks so much for the chance at winning some candy :)

I wish they would have had more vintage design stamps. I did however see some oldies return that haven't been in the catalogs for a long time.

Jessica said...

I don't have any kids yet, so I would have like better dog stamps to scrapbook my dog. And for the Yappy Dog set to have it say Happy B-day from the dog, just like the cat one. For accessories I think SU is lacking on more original albums. The onboard bitty book is ok, but i think it looks cheap. Thanks so much for the chance to win!!!!

Itworksforbobbi said...

I'm not a SU demonstrator, though I have a few sets that I love. I haven't been able to look at the new catalog, so I'm not sure what's missing. What I would really love to see, and maybe SU has it, is some long journaling stamps (like with the lines to write on) and some stitching stamps. Let me know if SU has those! Thanks for the "sweet" blog candy! So generous~

Anonymous said...

Congrats to all the hits. Easy to see why. I was disappointed there were no little girl sets. Hopefully in the next one. And I would love to see even more ribbon choices to me they now have less. Thanks for the chance.

Denise Bryant (imchatty) said...

Love your blog...I check it daily! You are a rockstar stamper in my book...and apparently everyone else's too.

Anyway, I was hoping that SU would start to incorporate clear stamps as that seems to be the trend lately....one that I am slowly liking more and more.

Thanks for all your inspiration.

I haven't seen the catalog yet!! I am looking forward to it. I still browse last year's catalog and a really old one! I'd like to see lots of variety of snowflakes! And more doodles! Thanks for the chance...I really want to win!

Unknown said...

I would have to say that I would have liked to see more travel type sets...and a few more masculine type ones also...as far as the accessories...I hate it that not all colors are available in the 12x12 and now you have to get an assorted pack...

Congrats on all the hits!

I am searching for a baby stamp set that I like. Maybe something less "cutesy" and more classic. For product, I am mourning the 1/4" choc chip ribbon. I like narrow ribbon and was so sorry to see colors retire. Planning on buying lots of white and using reinkers to dye it. Thanks for the blog candy offer!

Sarah Green said...

well it was last year and I was in the middle of moving and about to pop with baby number 3 and the only thing that I was bothered by was the lack of ribbon!!!!!!! there just wasent enough in last years catty to keep me happy so I started to wonder to other places for stamps paper and most of all RIBBON!
this year I have already looked through the catty more times than I did all year with the last one

and all I can say is I am sooooooooooo HAPPY there is so much stuff that as a stamper that I don't think that I can live with out, every thing from paper to ribbon brads chipboard and most of all the stamps and new coloers oh yah and the new PUNCHES I have a huge wish list and a big SMILE on my face this year!!!!

congrats on 75,000 what a huge # to hit!!!!!!

Congrats on the hits!

For a set, I'm very sad to see they didn't replace Kanji with another Asian set. For products, I was surprised there wasn't a replacement for the On-Board ATC book and protectors. I was also surprised that the Vintage brad collection included all the finishes of the Hodgepodge Hardware kits EXCEPT Aged Copper! I'm completely out of aged copper brads, but still have plenty of the rest of the HH kit!

Good morning Alli! Wow...what awesome blog candy. I, too, love the new SU catalog and had no trouble creating a list a mile long. However, I would like to see some travel-type stamps sets, such as a set of stamps representing Germany with beer steins, Munich, Neuschwanstein, etc.

Anonymous said...

Hi Alli!
Congratulations on 75,000!!!

Thanks for offering such awesome blog candy!

As far as stamps go, I am happy with their selection.

For products, I was pleasantly surprised to see the scalloped circle punch. What they left out is the scalloped oval punch.

Hi Alli! Congrats on 75k!! I was very sad to the tween sets leave and very disappointed that nothing replaced them. I have 4 girls between the ages of 9 - 15. We loved these sets but maybe next catty. I was also very unhappy w/ the ribbon change. Why lower the amount? just didn't make sense not to mention Chocolate 1/4" but we do have more choices for size and type now so thats good. Can't wait for the Holiday Mini as it is my fav but like so many I am still devouring the new catty. It is so awesome!!

There's a reason you've made it to the 75,000 mark. You're in my top 5 blogs and it appears I'm not alone in checking you out on a daily basis. I'm just back from vacation and I haven't seen the new catalog yet, but hope to check on-line in a day or two. I'm hoping there will be some rain and umbrella stamps -- oh, how I'm wishing for some rain right now! I'm always looking for new punches, but it appears from other comments that there weren't enough new ones to cover everyone's wishes. Scalloped punches are a must have!! Thanks for your continued inspiration and enthusiasm -- and the great blog candy offer.

Congrats on the 75k. All of us out here check your site every day -- it's no wonder you have reached 75k. I really love all your creations, they are amazing.

Congrats again.

75,000!! Woohoo!! In the new catalog, I was hoping they would have some belated birthday sentiments or sets. I am also missing the full selection of 12x12 papers -- I'm bummed that some of them now only come in assorted packs. Thanks for all the work and time you put into your blog. It is fun to read.

I was sad that Cool Caribbean cardstock didn't make it into the new catalog - and there's really nothing that could replace "Best of Cluck" & "Roses in Winter". Sure glad I purchased both before it was too late.

What I would really like to see is unmounted stamps sets - - not necessarily acrylic - but red rubber mounted to EZ mount - storage would be so much easier - shpping rates would be much less and we could save so many trees! Di

I found a good number of things I want from the new catalog. I too wish they would do markers for the "IN" colors. It would be cool if they would do some dies or embossing folders that work in machines we already have. Don't think they need to do a machine.

Darlene said...

I know many have already said this, but I would have like to see more masculine sets (I'm still trying to find Classic Convertibles which retired just before I found out about SU and started making cards)
And since I saw my first SU catalogue I have always looked for something Canadian. It seems to me the Canadian market is huge and it would be good to incorporate something into the catty.
Thanks for another chance to win such wonderful blog candy.ztfvu

This is silly, but I was sad to see a lot of the 12x12 cardstock go. I am a 12x12 scrapper and I only use S.U. cardstock. Other than that I absolutely LOVE the new catalogue and can't wait to place my first order!

Hi Alli, Congrats on your achievements. I just love your blog. It is so nice to know that when I go to your blog, I am always inspired. Now for what I was disappointed was the lack of nice Alphabet sets, SU retired quite a few but did not replace them with anything that hit my fancy.

I would like to see all ribbons on spools instead of the cardstock like for the Ribbon Originals.

Congrats on your 75K hits! I love to visit your site, your cards are beautiful.

As for the new catty, I love, love, love the changes. But, one thing I was hoping for was a more realistic nativity scene for Christmas cards. As for product I was hoping SU would offer 2 different size scallop punches (for layering).

I was hoping to see them carrying the marvy uchida scallop punched but i guess they already have the EK ones. Glad and surprised to see the cropAdile. I also wanted to see the in colours available in stampin'spots & markers,am a little disappointed at the increase of ribbon sets. I want just the ribbon I want not a variety pack although those are fun too. I also was hoping for a set with a nice maple leaf in it. Wow there are so many nice sets and other things in there though!I didn't go gaga over the preview so i was worried but i love the new catalogue and the simpler clean look of it and some of the new sets. I think many of us will be pleasantly surprised in january. oh yeah and i was hoping for stickles but then i guess glitter sales would be hit hard.

Hi there!

I was hoping for a larger selection of alphabet stamps. In terms of the accessories I really miss the organdy ribbon. Nothing beat SU!s organdy ribbon for typing fabulous bows. I wish they had repackaged them (more or less to a roll) than discontinuing them all together - or even better brought back a bunch of the fabulous colors they had a few years ago.

I'm missing little girl stamps. I wanted to buy a princess theme or dance/ballet theme, but there is nada. Lots of little boy stuff though.

Would also have liked some more religious Christmas stamps that are not cartoonish. I'll wait for the next mini,,hope, wish.

Great job on the blog. Congrats.,

I was sad to see Roses In Winter go as I think everyone else is. The Pearl Ex not being available is inconvenient too, I like to do the "shimmer" technique and it takes Pearl Ex.

I'm getting Garden Whimsy as a gift from a friend for my birthday and I can't wait. My wish list is pretty long too!

Hi Alli,
I agree that a 'Canadian' stamp set is long overdue. The one they did have a few years back really wasn't my style and I never bought it. I'm also a bit disappointed with the baby/wedding sets. But I do agree this is the best catty I've seen in a long time!
As for product, I love the pretties sets, but I'd even love it more if they would sell sets of the flowers separately. Same with the ribbons. I wish they had some of the narrower ones in the ribbon originals sets available by the spool. I'm just not a wide ribbon kinda' girl!
Congrats on the hits...your blog is awesome!

Congrats on all your hits! Having only seen the cattie online, it's hard to drool over it or get too excited. I have to agree that it would have been nice to see a Canadian themed stamp set. I am so glad that they brought Bud Basics back as I really wanted that set and missed out on it last time around. I was shocked to see that they removed the Pearlex considering it is such an effective, easy technique to do. I was very disappointed to see a price increase and the difference in prices between the US & Canadian catties when our dollar is almost at par.
Thanks for the chance to win some great candy.

I was very happy to see the Moose You set. I plan to buy that and use it maybe a Canadian flag stuck to a hoof or paw *grin*

I would have loved a Canadian themed stamp just for us though. Imagine a detailed stamp of some of Canada's most beautiful sites - Niagra, Hopewell Rocks with the ocean, Peggy's Cove, Jasper.....ah that would be such a popular set wouldnt it?

Hi Alli, I was sad to see so many sets go. Haven't seen the new book yet due to my SU friend that is on vacation. I'm hoping for more male set to do more masculine cards.
I agree that they should of put H20 in the book. Love to use them. Smiles for a great week!

Anonymous said...

I too was hoping for patriotic type stamps! I also thought there would be more or acutally hoping for more manly and teen boy type stamps.
I was hoping brads and eyelets could be bought by the color, not color family.
Congrats to you on 75,000!!!! Super! Love your blog, I check it every day.
Thanks for the chance to win!

maiahs_momma said...

I would have to agree with you, no canadian stamp sets..but I also think there should be more little girly kinda stamps out there...like the "Tu-Tu Terrific" stamp set.
Have a great day, thanks for the chance to get some yummy blog candy or blog bling as my hubby likes to call it.

Elaine said...

we needed a new adhesive. I'm tired of snail that does NOT hold! The stamp set that I would have liked to see....hmmm..that's a tough one for me - I like ice skating so that would have been fun to include!

Anonymous said...

Congratulations!! I was hoping to see more masculine stamp sets. Thanks for a chance to win some awesome blog candy!!

I have to echo the canadian stamp set...I would really use that...especially sending mail to my american friends..they think our stuff is so neat...

Bethany Paull said...

Congrats Alli! I was finally ready to make myself buy a couple of manly stamp sets (I always gravitate to the "pretty" ones that I like) and there wasn't a one I felt I'd use. As for product, I would love the a group of in-color spots, since I'll only use them for a year.

Even with all the amazing new things, I would like to see something with a magician and magician's items. Also something more for those retiring.

Love your site, keep up the great work.

I was wondering what SU was thinking when they didn't put any Wedding sets in this catty?

Debra said...

I'm a TAC demo, so I'm going to answer this about TAC. They retired all the background stamps and didn't replace them. I'm disappointed in that.

Diane said...

Well first of all...Congrats on all your hits!!!!
There are lots I would of liked to see in the new catty, like kids stuff, nice flower one maybe, new marker colors.
Thanks for the chance at the awesome candy!!

I never seen so many stamps, there is quite the selection. I do have some suggestions. Oceanic be it nautical or sea life. Constellations. Stars etc. Here is one i find popular with everyone in my work, Astrological symbols, which could also be multi-cultural eg: chiness years and celtic symbols. Happy stampin'

Congrats on your 75,000! Fabulous, Alli! I must agree with you. I love this catty.....but I also think that they made a couple of mistakes. No organdy ribbon....AT ALL? At least give us black and white. That is a simple, classic product needed for alomost any elegant card. I would love Twinkling H2Os as well. Not a sign of shimmmer in this catty!

Oh well, looking forward to January 1. :)

Hello,

Congrats on the 75,000 mark! I would have liked to see more for sympathy and I would have loved a sympathy for the loss of a beloved pet! I am missing the copper items from the line.

It's a good life!

I think they really need to fill the masculine void. Yes there is sports and cars but really aren't there more to men then just that? I'd like something classy and simple
Congrats on 75K!

Hi Alli!
Congratulations on 75000 hits!!!
And thanks for offering candy to celebrate :)

I think SU did a great job with the new stamp sets. I like that they offer so many sets that lend themselves to piercing and the white Signo pen.

As far as accessories, I can't believe they removed the organdy ribbon...it had such a nice, soft look. And, I was hoping they would add more colors in the gingham ribbon.

Linda SS said...

I've only had a chance to view the new catty on-line so haven't really had a chance to drool over it yet, but I'm sad to admit that my first view was one of disappointment. With all the discontinued sets this year, I had looked forward to a large new variety of replacements. I didn't really see anything that jumped out at me to replace my favorites like Ruff Day, Fishy Friends, or Best of Cluck. I want more variety & felt most of their sets are very similar to one another & not my style.

Unknown said...

Congratulations on 75000! That's quite an accomplishment! As for the SU catalog, I'm already loving things that I at first thought I'd never buy, thanks to SCS. I do wish there were more realistic natural images for stamps (flowers, birds, butterflies, etc). I wish SU carried all the mega and giga scalloped punches so I could show them to customers.

Anonymous said...

I would love more little girl stamps sets...or girly ones. I miss the organdy ribbon. But, I really wish they would include markers for the IN Colors.

Congratulations on 75000+ hits. I've only had a chance to glance at the catalog online, but I was hoping for more kid sets, especially for girls. Also I wish SU offered more of the scalloped punches. I enjoy visiting your blog & thanks for the chance to win some yummy blog candy.

Wow--75,000hits! Cngrats! I'd have to say I'm sad that there are still no girls' sports sets--I would love to see silhouettes of girls in sports--soccer player,l runner, gymnast, etc. I would also have liked to see something added to replace pearl-ex, and I would love to have the watercolor pencils in more colors (like all of them plus the In colors)!

Anonymous said...

I would have liked seeing markers for the "IN" colors. I would like to see them do some dies and embossing folders that would work in all the machines!

Anonymous said...

I too was excited to see the new catalogue. I was hoping for some new classic or more serious/beautiful Christmas sets.
As for products- I just wish they would put the page with all the colour families at the very back or front so it was easy to find. The new monochromatic paper sets really took my eye. Time to have another party! Janice

Also, a two-step xmas set!

Whoa...114...let's home random.org is on my side! Grins! I concur with you on the Canadiana-themed stamps but I was really disappointed with the little kid stamps. I didn't find anything that I would have to have for my kids which means I will probably go with another "animal" set which is close but...

Every sport seems to be represented except running. I want a stamp set for that-not hich school like but more adult. Too many stamp sets are childish from so many companies evern SU.

I would also love to see longer poems for the inside of cards as sometimes I cant think of what to write especially at sad times.

Anonymous said...

There is nothing new or exciting. It seems like all the companies have been copying one another & nobody is coming up with a new idea in stamp sets. The die cut companies are getting better & expanding their ideas, but the stamp companies seem to be stagnant. I was disappointed in the SU catalog. I was hoping for more in the kids line.

Anonymous said...

Honestly, I really can't say that I saw anything missing from the catalog. I love it all!!!

I viewed the new catalog online and SU rocks! My new catalog should arrive today and I'm so flippin' excited!
Oh wait, I just thought of something. It would be cool if they came up with some kind of cool storage for the stamps. I'm not real crazy about the clear boxes. Maybe something wooden that mounts on the wall with little cubbies? I'm not sure.
Congrats on your 75000!!!

Paula said...

I do not buy many SU set, not because I don't like them, I'm trying not to spend too much $$$ and use what I have. I like the whimsical bird stamps that some stamp companies are making; Autumn leaves, hero arts etc. Thanks for the chance at candy!

I was hoping for another boy scout and/or girl scout set. that's a pretty big market to make stamps for. also, I've been waiting for an awareness ribbon wheel! all sorts of causes could use such a thing - just wheel up the color of your cause.

your blog is really interesting - thanks for the great ideas.

Congratulations on 75000 hits!!!
And thanks for offering candy to celebrate :)

What I find missing from the SU catty is not a stamp set or a product...it's information!
For example...with the new DP...why can't they share the coordinating colors right there on the page? Why does it have to be a secret that only the demos can see??

I was hoping for stamps that were meant to fit into the MARVY punches. PAPERTREY was smart and made them for their new line on July 15th. HOORAY!!!

Hi Alli, great blog...
Welllll, I think that they're missing little boy stamps. I mean down and dirty boy stamps. Glad to see the new Western stamps but we need more guy stamps ie. motorcycles, cars, and such. The fisherman in this cataloque is just not cutting it for me, insert sad face here, I think they've come along way with they're other products esp. chipboard but they could use more scalloped punches! YEAH!

I think realistic animal stamps-dogs, cats, cows-would be awesome. Also patriotic, whether Canadian or American. I can't believe we don't have ANY! Products, I agree on the twinks. I love them! I didn't use Pearl Ex that much, but it had it's purpose. Overall I like it though. Love the new brads and ribbons!

Congratulations on your blog! I love your work and enjoy visiting. I was hoping for something like the watercolor mini's. I love the look of those flowers. As for accessories, I can't believe the Pearl Ex is gone. What will we use now?

I was hoping for some cute birds, ducks, or flamingos. Otherwise the SU catalog met my expectations.

Jessica Watts said...

Hi Alli! Congrats! I enjoyed looking at the new catolog too. I love that it is going to change in 6 mos. :-) I think I was hoping for a stamp set with a movie type theme, maybe a film strip jumbo roller AND to answer the 2nd, I'm bummed with the limited 12x12 paper -- not being able to order all colors individually which goes along with the wheel ink cartridges.

Hello Alli:
I was really hoping for more male themed type stamps. Making cards for men for me is a struggle. I do love the new catalog and like the idea of it changing again in 6 months. Some of the pricing suprised me but i know i am not the only one that feels that way.

I was really sad to see that the copper embossing powder was no longer there and the Pearl Ex powders were not replaced. I just taught a class on them at the end of June! So far there haven't been any stamps that relate to my husband. What can I say he doesn't go fishing or camping all that much!

Anonymous said...

Congrats! Love your blog. Will be checking in a lot since I found you. I really love the new catty. Wish there were more realistic stamps and more humorous sayings. All together I thought the catalog was one of the best in years. Thanks again for all your hard work. You're an inspiration.

I'm not a SU demo, so thank you for allowing the "rest of us" to play.:) I have many SU stamp sets in my ever-growing collection of stamp, many of which have long been retired, but I love 'em. From what I've seen of the new stamp sets, I can see that I'm going to have to have "Garden Silhouettes." I'm really liking the cards I've seen created with that set.

Sad to see the sketches go and nothing to replace them. Would like to see more realistic stamps plus a better price that would honestly reflect our dollar. Do like the florishes.
Embellishments will miss the ribbon but usally don't get embleshment from SU

I know they are focusing on Fall/Winter, but people get married all year round. There was a lack of wedding themed stamp sets. (There was a cake in two different variety sets, but no real wedding themed sets.)

Great blog, great candy, great job reaching your milestone! A. Missing stamps: a new basic solid image manly set B. Missing product: a techniquelishious product that most customers had never tried like as many said before pearlex. Thanks for all of your inspiration!

Congrats on all the hits! Great candy! yum yum!! I would say I was disapointed that there weren't any good dog themed stamp sets. There was Yappy Day, which I am going to get, but I wish there were more, since I love dog stamps! The product was different size scallop punches, 1 is great, but I wish we could layer them as well! Thanks so much for this great blog you share!!

I was sad that there wasn't really any patriotic sets. I think it would fit in either catty because we should want to be patriotic all the time.

Also disappointed that the Fall stamp sets were all about leaves -- what about scarecrows, cornstalks, mums, or what about a really neat Pilgrim & Indian set.

Oh....I have several more things I could say I miss about this catty but I'll stop before I get on a role and you'd never get done reading.

Don't get me wrong -- I love lots of things in the catty. It was just very confusing to me when I thought it would be a Fall/Winter catty and I thought the focus wasn't really on that.

I was so sad to see that they had cut WAY back on the embossing powders..I'm an embossing freak! I was also dissapointed at the lack of masculine and nature (canadian nature eh?!)stamps. But don't worry about me...I've definetly found enough to keep me busy until the next catty. Congrats to all the hits, love the candy!!

Danita said...

I'm still waiting for SU! to do a decent cat/dog set. I really haven't liked the styles they've chosen since Bow Wow and Meow Meow. Also, I was very bummed to see ALL the colored embossing powder go - the embossing stacks. I was hoping they would just repackage them separately or something.
Thanks so much for being so generous to all us avid stampers!!!

Sue said...

Unfortunately I havent had the pleasure of seeing SU stamps in person but would love to, I would really like to see more "boy" stamps and products as I feel they get a little left out :)
I have a son and a daughter and it seems there are way more products in girl themes :0

Hi Alli,
Congrats on your 75,000....

Mostly I am sad that there was nothing to replace Petal Prints....and as far as product is concerned I was also sad about the pearl ex...I really thought they were going to replace with perfect pearls ( you don't have to seal that product). I was also sad to see that there were not any new sizes of scrapbook albums or colours... but this is definately my favorite catalog...the layouts are fabulous... Desiree

I would have loved to see more two step stamping sets like one of your other visitors mentioned - either in florals or birthday type of set like they had a few years ago.

Congrats on so many hits - I am sure it won't take long before you reach the next big milestone.

Thanks heaps for sharing.

What did I hope for? More boy sets. Girls are easy, boys, not so much. You can only use that pirate so many times....I was sad to see that they didnt' update the kid tattoo kits. I would have loved a new design this year.

I love floral stamps of all kinds, as well as gardening stamps - love the wheelbarrow, planters, benches kind of scenes. And cupcakes - I have been a cupcake collecting freak lately. I've never bought any stampin' up stamps, but a friend is supposed to get me a catty- I look forward to looking thru it!

Hi Ali,

I would have loved to see h20's or possible even shimmer pots. I sometimes have images that i need to color and the effects with either one of these items just adds that special touch. I also would h ave loved to see matching scallops punches (IE marvy)

Have a great day on the island, it's Aloha Friday!

Hi Alli!

I agree with you, I didn't realize they were taking away the pearl ex and not replacing it &/or upgrading.

I didn't see any teddy bear stamp sets other than the new baby one like the teddy bear they retired with that cute little envelope with a heart on it.

My thought is that I wish there was more two step stamping...I love the sets that they have for colouring! I just wish they'd come up with a few 2-step sets that were large with many variations...Like Papertrey has. I do not buy papertrey although I love them. I would like to demo similar style SU! sets!! Great blog by the way Stampin Sister!

woohoo! 75K and yummy candy to booT! Congrats.

I too would have loved to see more Canuck stamps! totally sad that my pearlex will sit on the shelf and not be demoed this season. They should have replaced it with h2o. Maybe they'll have other sizes of the scallop punch next season.

Keep up the great work!

And thanks for offering candy to celebrate :)

What's missing from the new catty? I would like to see coordinating ribbon for the designer paper sets. Kinda like what Basic Grey offers.

Janice McElwee said...

Hi Allison,

I was a little disappointed with the ribbon. I prefer the narrow grossgrain ribbon so was sad to see some staple colors like Choc. Chip be discontinued. I also had hoped the stitched ribbon would have come in family colors, not just the In Colors. As far as stamps, I haven't been disappointed but rather happy to see another set with a sailboat in it. There was a set about 2 years ago and I saw some beautiful cards done with black embossing over a spectrum pad - gorgeous! So I'm glad to see that back.

The girls and I are in shock to see Andrew and Olivia so grown up!

I really like the 2 step sets. I would of like to see more of these.
I am not thrilled with this catalouge like alot are. I think the prices are getting way high.
I am wondering when they will start
to go acrylic??

I was disappointed that there wasn't anything to replace the classic flowers, like Petal Prints and watercolor minis. And since the war is a big part of everyone's life now, I would have love to seen a set to pay tribute to our soilders.

I agree with you on the Pearl-ex too! I had just purchesed a group of them and was having a good time, learning new techniques. With all of this being said, I am glad to see the scallop punch and the pretties.........maybe we will be getting more in the next catalog.

CONGRATULATIONS on your hits!

Anonymous said...

Congratulations on the hits!!! You have a really wonderful blog that always has something inspiring for your readers.

I *love* the new catalogue, but I was hoping for a nice two-step or solid-image stamp set that would replace Petal Prints. That was so versatile, could do masculine, floral, you name it. I would have loved to have seen Twinklings or stickles in SU colours. SU retired most of the twinkly stuff (Pearl Ex, Lumiere).

Anonymous said...

Congrats on your hits. This is a lot of comments for you to read... lol. I was really hoping for a good floral set to replace petal prints. And I really wish that black brads were packaged individually, since I use a ton of them. Even though I will still spend plenty on this catalog, sadly nothing really jumped out at me screaming "you HAVE to buy me!"

One stamp that is hard to find is one for someone who has broken a bone...crutches, cast, etc. There's nothing like that in the catty, and I could sure use one today for my mother-in-law with a broken ankle!
I'd also like to see a glue pad offered by SU.
Thanks for your great blog and congrats on your landmark 75000 hits!
