Let's get ready for......BLOG CANDY!

It is time to celebrate another milestone! A few days ago the counter rolled over 30000 so that means more blog candy...
Thank you again for your support. I really appreciate your daily/weekly visits and look forward to sharing more projects, tutorials, cards and tips in the coming months. More than anything I am excited to share that I am working alongside some wonderful people this coming month including Diana Crick of Scor-Pal. If you haven't visited her site or ordered one of these handy tools they are a MUST have item. As a guest instructor, I have been using my Scor-Pal prototype over the past week and can't tell you enough how useful it is to be able to score my projects so quickly. Diana is currently taking pre-orders and will be shipping them in the near future, so please stay tuned for a date to be announced via my blog or her website. I will be talking more about this fab-o papercrafting tool in the near future.
Now onto the blog candy...

You will receive:
A handmade card by Alli
2 wood mounted stamps (Baby Blocks & Maternity)
1 Clear Stamp Set with 1 Acrylic Block
An assortment of scalloped punches (I receive my scalloped circle punch last week WOHOO!)
An assortment of primas small, med and large
1 roll of polka dot ribbon
A few CD folders so you can re-create THIS pocket book (if you didn't see a folder example it is behind my watermark)

Now for the details: Draw will take place Sunday evening around 11:30PM PST and the winner's name will be posted on Monday May 7th, 2007.
To enter, I am going to follow the trend, and have you ask me papercrafting question(s) related to the things on my blog/my SCS gallery OR you can tell me a personal goal you have for your own stamping. I know I have so many goals and I am slowing ticking them off the list...applying the Law of Attraction (from the movie The Secret).

THIS POST will remain at the top of my blog until Sunday. To view all NEW projects/cards please scroll down.

Because I love to stamp and you do too!

Alli,
I love your blog. How many altered projects have you done and where do you get your idea's? I made a covered composition book last night and I think I need to go buy somemore.

I love your blog and your style of cards, especially how you use patterned paper. My short term goals are to be a bit more daring and add some bold prints or patterns to my work. You have definately inspired me to try.

Susan said...

My problem is that I see a card, usually More Than Just A Card, and when I work the tutorial, I end up missing some vital piece of the instructions. I think I am a visual learner....so I have to figure out how to do what I have seen. Currently I am trying to figure out how to do the wallet=type card Maria has made and given a tutorial for. That's my big challenge for the day. Do you have a big challenge?

I would love to win the candy and have always enjoyed your blog.

Elizabeth Royalty said...

LOVE your blog and your cards. I keep a running word document where I copy and paste pics of cards from blogs for inspiration (is that okay?), and your "page" is huge! - love to look at your work for some yummy inspiration. My question is.... do you have an inspiration journal? document? folder?

Your blog is on my daily inspiration list of sites to visit. Love your style! My goals are to use more stuff - like your see through window technique (love it!). I also want to venture into the world of flourishes. My list of todos grows as you post new techniques - so please keep up everything you are doing.

I have a personal goal for stamping. I would love to try stamping in hot wax or clay. I think that would be so fun, but I just don't know where to start. I think I need to see a tutorial on it.
Thanks!

Love your blog. I was wondering where you get your ideas for cards?

Hi, I'm relatively new to your blog. Do you, or have you ever thought of selling your cards? Is there a reason you do or don't?

SusanH said...

Love your blog, too! Where do you turn when your mojo is sleeping? (what do you look towards for inspiration, to get new ideas, that kind of stuff) And my goal is just to simply stamp more!!

One of my goals is to be published, though admittedly I haven't done a very good job since I have yet to submit anything...

Papercrafting Goal: To try new products and new techniques in my cardmaking and to not be afraid to try things outside of my personal "style" so that I can grow in my skills.

Wow! Congrats on the 30000+hits. I really shouldn't comment as I have won candy from you but it's too enticing!

My goal is to make manager before the end of this su year. I am so close, two of my downline are currently possibly recruiting someone, and just one of them would put me to manager - so pray with me :)

Anonymous said...

I love your work. My question is : How much time a day do you spend stamping? You seem to generate so much work (which is another reason I love your blog -- so much eye candy every day.)

Anonymous said...

You have a great blog, I love to see what you have made and check back often. So my question to you is how do you pick your colours for all your cards. Some days just deciding on colours can stress me out. Thanks for sharing.

supah dupah blog candy alli! I so do not have those Michael's $1 stamps - and I need them LOL Of course you know I love, love, love your blog and I check in on ya everyday! :)

Alli, so glad I found your blog today. You've got some great stuff to browse! Thanks so much for sharing it all with us. My goal for the next year is to get something of mine published somewhere (other than on my own blog!). I've got to start entering contests and submitting samples!

Yosha said...

I love your blog and I stalk in here to get ideas for using patterned paper and such! You are so great at that! This is one of my recent goals. I've been picking up patterned paper (it's all still in the brown paper bag!)and forcing myself to buy paper that I usually wouldn't have and then try to figure out how to use it properly.

Alicia said...

Hi! Love your stuff as always. My peronal goal is to start stamping one card a day. I love to stmap but tend to procrastinate and then am swamped with many to get done at 1 time!

Anonymous said...

I love your blog. How do you come up with your color combos? I find I'll get an idea , know which stamps I want to use but then get bummed because I can't think up a color combo.

Anonymous said...

Just like Alicia, I would have to say I am bad about doing last minute card. And then they don't turn out the way I would have hoped!! I need to get a good system going so this doesn't happen anymore.
Great job on your blog. I love all you stuff.

Lynn Brown said...

Great blog candy, Alli! My goal is to incorporate my stamping into scrapbook pages. I have been totally neglecting my scrapbooking & have been focusing on cards. I feel so guilty because of this. Love your blog, by the way!

Hi Alli,
My question is, on your petal pink card recipe, how did you recreate that Fancy Pants packaging along the spine of the card?

Right now I have about 20 personal goals just relating to SU. But I'd have to say my #1 goal right now is to finish the birth announcments I am making for my neighbors beautiful baby girl, who was born a month ago. But in my defense, she hadn't decided which one she liked best until about 2 weeks ago.

I love your work and am so thankful you are willing to share your creations and the inspiration I receive from them. I often wonder where do you get your inspiration? My biggest goal in stamping/cardmaking right now is to have my cards look as "professional" as so many I see on your blog and others that I visit daily.

Mom of Three said...

Ok, my short term goal is to finish my thank you cards for my baby gifts....and I am using postcards instead of cards...which saves paper, so I am being environmentally conscience...

Thanks for all your share on your blog! My stamping goal is to try at least one new technique/fold/style per week. I am often stuck in my side fold A2 style!

Congrats on 30K!! I love your blog and your SCS gallery. I really like ribbon and I see you use it on a lot of cards, too. Where do you get all that cute ribbon?
Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week at our school. My goal is to stamp a card for every teacher this weekend or by the end of next week.

i do love your style! thanks for sharing all ur creations with us. my questions would be what is your favorite technique and can you do a tutorial on it on ur blog?

Thanks! :)

My personal goal would be to become a demonstrator, which would just "knock the socks" right off my demonstrator, Dawn Griffith!

I am also working with The Secret and I think it is changing my life. Awesome. Anyhow I have a few stamping goals. I want to be able to create my own card without CASEing another plus I want to learn to use the stampamajig to get my lettering straight. I seem to always stamp crooked. I love all your work Alli. Great job and congrats.

I'm relatively new to your blog, but your blog was one that inspired me to start my own blog just last week! My goal right now is to become more connected with other stampers, through blogging and chatting on SCS. I'd like to someday have a following like you and Beate. A question that I would have for you is, what is your typical day like and how does stamping fit in?

Thanks for the blog candy! Your creations are awesome!

My goal is to keep stamping. I know I'll get better at it if I just keep stamping. It may sound silly but I sometimes I let myself get discouraged with my designs and I feel the pressure to please everyone around me that makes me want to quit. So...it means a lot to me to just keep stamping.

Smiles,

I LOVE your blog! It's definitely one of my faves! Thanks for the blog candy. My stamping goal is to find a way to quit my part-time job so I can stamp more often! hehehe. Don't let my husband read this!

I think your blog is wonderful and enjoy reading each and every new post. Thanks so much for offering up some blog candy, it does look sooo yummy!

My personal goal is to continue to grow as a stamper/crafter. Yes, I realize that this is a *very* general goal, but I am the personality to stay in my comfort zone. I have recently purchased some acrylic stamps (haven't really used them yet) and I have used a couple of sheets of designer paper to make some cards. So I am comfortably pushing myself to grow. I also want to use my Cuttlebug more! ;D

Hi Alli,
I have just recently started checking out your blog, and I love it.
My question for you is. What advice can you give to a new stamper/scrapbooker (like myself) to stay inspired and creative?

Anonymous said...

Thanks so much for a really helpful, fun blog! My goal as a card maker is to become a card creator. I have been very good at CASEing someone else's idea, and maybe alterring a little thing here and there, but I've been pretty afraid to go it alone. Well, I have actually started going it alone....:) Yipee! All of the ideas I get from sites like yours are very inpirationaland helpful, but creating for myself is my goal. Wish me luck!

I have just recently stumbled on to your blog and love all of your work!

One of my goals would be to get my card business off of the ground. What started as "just a hobby" has turned into more recently, with a lot of people wanting to purchase cards, and make orders for cards. I really just need to take the time to sit down, set a game plan and get to work on this! Stamping brings me a lot of joy, and I'm glad I have found a way to share it with other people! :c)

I'd love to see a tutorial on the wallet-type card everyone got at Leadership....pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!

I know everyone's asking, "Where do you get your inspiration? Where do your ideas come from?" My question pertains more to the method behind the madness, so to speak. ;-) ... I am fairly new to the card-making scene, and I don't "get it." Meaning, are you just sitting at home and decide to make a card for no reason, no one to give it to? Do you work during the day, other than as a SU demonstrator? Do you stay up late at night making cards just to make cards?

You see, my thing is, I can totally make cards when there is a birthday or some other event coming up. But just to make cards just for the sole idea of making cards? Well, I dunno. I'm not saying it is dumb because I think the opposite. I LOVE the art of it, and I love doing it. I'm just intrigued by your consistency -- the constant flow of creative juice that always show themselves in the amazing things you produce. I'm amazed by the different artists who just whip out cards left and right like there's nothing else going on in their lives. You make it look so darn effortless. ;-)

Alli, thanks so much for all your generous sharing of ideas. My goal as a stamper is when I retire from my 8-5 to advance as a stamper and papercrafter to be accepted as a member of a design team. I bought my first SU set in Nov 06, and became a fast addict, I don't say I want, it's I NEED. Goals: to create like you! I would love someday to have my own blog, (and to have enough, to post) Where do you find the time? Long terms goal, like most here I would love to be published! Thanks for all your inspiration!

I'm ready to try stamp doodling and I liked your tutorial on fun tabs. My stamping goal is to use some of my stamps that haven't been inked yet. I tend to reach for the same stamps and ignore others that I had to have! Do you tend to use certain stamps or types of stamps? If so which ones and how do you make yourself "branch out" and use other stamps?

First of all, CONGRATS on being SCS's featured stamper - you are sooo deserving of the 'title'. I love looking at your blog daily - your creations are awesome! What I like to try some day is to use gamsol and watercolour pencils. The effects I've seen are beautiful. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing!

Hi and greetings from Finland! Is there something on card making/altered projects/scrapboking field you haven't try (done) yet?

Congrats on FS of the week, I am new to the challenges and like this one best of all. When I see a card I like, I check out the SCSer's entire gallery.

Your cards are great. Love the layouts, color combos, etc.

My goal is to slow down on buying up all the goodies, and start making good use of what I already have.

Congrats on being picked feature stamper today! How fun for you! And your gallery is great! My goal for this year? Try become a little more flower-friendly.

It is great to see you as FS on SCS today. Congrats!
One of my stamping goals is instead of just completing a challenge card, I really want to make them WOW! I need to work more on the little details, more layers and bigger variety of embellishments.
My 2nd goal for stamping is to stop being intimidated by my unmounted Bella and just get her going!

Great Blog!

Where do you get your inspirations to create such wonderful cards. I love your cards, they are sooo pretty. The colors all coordinate so well.

Let's see... I got one! What is your favorite adhesive? Do you use more than 1? What for what? (did that make sense? lol ) I mean what adhesive for what type of project?

My stamping goal is to use each and every stamp I own until they have all been at least used once to make a card. Of, course there is no time limit on this so maybe one day in the distant future I will get there!! LOL

You do such beautiful work. How do you know when a piece is "done"? Do you go by certain criteria or just by how it looks to you? Is there a common "must have" element on your works?

Thanks !

My question is where do you find the time to stamp and do you ever keep anything for yourself?

I love your blog.

Congrats! Your gallery is awesome! I want to be more creative than I am. How do I do it? All these ideas, papers, stamps, etc just go around and around in my head and rarely make it to paper. Help!

My stamping goal is to just keep stamping! Sounds simple, but kids, life, house, etc all get in the way! I've started a blog too and that has been tremendous inspiration!

Alli,

Beautiful work! I have recently discovered SCS, blogs, and a gigantic gaggle of girlfriends who understand! (My friends don't do paper and rubber...)

My goal is to join more swaps or RAK groups or SOMETHING, so that I can give these mini-creations of mine a purpose and a home! My friends enjoy my stuff, but are not interested in playing paper with me. :-(

Question: Your color/print combos are extraordinary. I would never, naturally make some of those combos on my own. So the question is this; Do you come by your color combos innocently and giftedly (leaving the color clutzes like me with little hope), or do you have a method/inspiration/tool/trick that you use and can share with us?

spending too much time on the computer....

I want to learn how to do free hand doodling around a card. I have seen some wonderful work on SCS and I have been afraid to try, no confidence in myself.
