Some tips/tutorials for you!

I was playing with a card tonight and came across three new things...new to me anyways. I never know if someone out there has already done these things before but I did a little searching and didn't find anything...

Markers and the Gel Pen
Did you know that you can get a more solid colour by using the two combined? Especially on vellum cardstock, vellum and window sheets? Start by applying the Uniball White Gel Pen to the desired area creating a base, then mix it up with your Stampin' Write Marker. The difference is AMAZING!

The left hand side is the Gel Pen with the marker and the right side is just the marker

Here is a comparison on a plain piece of vellum cs

Did you know?
That SU!'s slit punch works well with the largest flower in Big Blooms??? I cut the centre of the Big Blooms stamp and then placed my punch in the centre. My purpose was to find a way to flip the petals.

Fun tabs
I was looking for a way to balance my card with colour when it dawned on me to use my punches and voila! out of nowhere I created this cute little tab. First I cut it to 1 inch, used the ticket corner punch, then the slit punch followed by the 1/8th-inch circle punch....You can easily create one the length of your card too.

I will be sharing the finished card with you in the next few days! Hope you enjoyed these tips/tutorials.

Because I love to stamp and you do too!

Question, does the gel pen ink stick or ruin the markers?

Thank you for the big blossom tip
