Just a quick hello...

It's been rather busy in my household this month--I have made some cards but haven't had a chance to take photos of them. I had a lot of fun stamping with the July Unity Kit.

Today my beloved kitty (ok so he was an old timer) Schooner passed away. He was such a friendly cat~he snuggled, sat on my lap, meowed just to get my attention, he'd give me kisses, sit on my shoulders...he made me laugh, he drove me crazy...he was such a great cat. I am going to miss him so much. And while I know the hurt will go away it is so hard right now.

In addition we welcomed my grandmother into the house and have been unpacking her. We also finished the front rock wall and installed the sprinklers.

I hope to be back this week with some new pics.

Dear Alli, just wanted to tell you how sorry I am to hear that you lost your dear cat. I lost my beloved cat (she was 14) just last fall (after losing another one the year before to cancer!) and I know how horrible it feels to lose such a wonderful companion. Hope your memories of him bring you smiles. *hugs*

Alli - I'm so sorry to hear of Schooner's passing. Take comfort in all of your memories of time spent with him...he must have had a very happy life with you to have bestowed so many kisses and hugs and smiles over the years.

My heart goes out to you. Although I cannot imagine living without animals in my life, it does hurt so much when they have to leave us. I have a 17 year old Australian shepherd, so I am especially thankful for every day that we have together.

Sweet Ali, My heart is with you in your loss! I lost my cat of 13 years, who died a couple of years ago, and I still miss her. She was my child. Even yesterday, I wanted her sleeping in my lap and climbing on my shoulder giving me sweet kisses in my ear. Please know that there are others who completely understand. Much, much sympathy!!!!

Alli, I am so sorry to hear about your kitty. I lost my dog (of 15 years) last year, and it still hurts when I go to the pet store and see all the puppies. I feel for you and your family in your loss. It seems to me that you will definitely be keeping yourself busy with your grandmother moving in and all the yard work.

I, also, send my sympathies for the loss of your kitty. We have one who will be 18 this October. Every year I wonder how he'll be. He's still pretty active, but really mad right now since the addition of the new puppy...

Alli, I am so sorry for your loss. Our pets are a part of our families; the fact that they are pets makes it even harder because they love us unconditionally. My heart goes out to you.

Enjoy your grandmother's visit, Alli, and don't wait too long to adopt another kitty, who will not replace Schooner but will fill your heart with his/her own charms!
